Not false teachings, just misinterpretated. I cannot honestly tell you which passages are and which are not. I know I am intelligent. I know I am a good person. I know if I follow a basic guidline of how to behave, how to treat others, and believe in my Father, then I have no doubt in my mind I will be accepted into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Am saying that NOBODY should take every single verse literally? Yes. I am saying that emphatically. As you point out, there are over 20 versions. Who to believe? MAN INTERPRETED THE BIBLE. Man makes mistakes. Man interprets things to fit his needs or wants, its a fact.

We were not talking about other books, but since you brought it up, yes, they too miss things in translation. It is a fact when translating, things do not always translate well.

In Spanish, since that is the language you say you speak some of, there is a toast that goes something like ' good health, good money, and a woman with good tits.' Now that doesnt sound like good English because it doesnt translate well. But to understand it in Spanish, its a wonderful saying. We can, however, general idea.

Everything that was not written originally in English loses something in translation. That doesnt mean that a general idea cannot be fathomed. The Bible is a wonderful guide. That is how I use it. I do not mean to offend anyone if they feel otherwise. It is my personal preference. I feel I am a good person. I treat others well. I love my wife and kids. I dont pick on helpless people. Im not mean spirited. I do not judge others based on things they have no control over. How can I go wrong?

I do not mean we should put the Bible away and not live our lives by it. I just dont feel that everything should be taken literally.
Did you see that 'Jesus and Paul' thing last night? I fell asleep but they were talking about books that were left out of the Bible. Why? This is my point. We should not believe every little word because it is written.

And in that set of books that were left out is the Gospel of Thomas....as well as a number of other texts which make up the canon of gnostic literature.....sadly, these books were deemed heresy by the church within a century after their circulation.

i agree that you cant answer a religious question without getting into religion. thats why i stated that i didnt want to "argue" about religion. whatever someones beliefs are...thats what they are. and thats fine.

I consider myself a Christian though not a good one. Even though I do some things that are bad for me. I occasionally eat junk food. I spend too much time out in the sun without my shirt on. I lust after women (they are so damn pretty). I drink more than I should (it tastes so good). I waste my money (there are so many things I want). I waste my time (spending time on Meso chatting with bros is entertaining). I guess that I am not a good Christian.

It is hard to live up to the expectations of the atheists and agnostics.

I'm not perfect. God knows this. Thank God for Jesus. Once I sin, I ask for forgiveness, and try my best not to sin again. I workout and as a result, I feel good (both mentally and physically).

Now, the main reason why I workout is to look good for myself. Sure it's nice to be looked at by the opposite sex, but I'm in a long-term relationship and am not about to stray, and the physical and mental aspects are nice bonuses. Now in this context, is bodybuilding a sin? Is someone who gets a nose job to look and feel better committing a sin?

Now, steroids to me are just another tool to use to look better for myself. I look at in the same light as multi-vitamins, creatine, r-ALA, etc. (except for the legality issues of course) but respect its power much more.

Good post eleven.Ronnie Coleman is a christian and he is definetlly into AS.I think it is based on common sense.Why would you be sinning building your temple into a big strong temple??Mans laws,i think some are pretty foolish i think even in gods eyes.I think if you hurt someone on As it is your actions,that is the cause of your sin not AS.
