Race to a 315lb bench

Video with face edited it isn't too hard. I guess honor system if someone didn't want to do that or maybe share the video privately. I don't know, it's all just for fun and some motivation anyway. Wouldn't make sense to cheat.
I tried uploading from phone, forum didnt allow it. I thought of YouTube but looksnlike if that happened some info may be available lol.... not to mention working grout alone asking for a spot and someone else to video. I think honor system maybe a decent call.

Yeah, whatever anyone is comfortable with. It's all in fun. Cheating would only be cheating yourself. I'm not tech savvy enough to say about the videos.

I’m googling all this too, y’all may have a condensed no brainer way. We all know how google goes.

How do you work up to a max? Right now I’ll do something like 95x12
135x10
155x6
165x4
185-195 whatever feels good to failure. 7-9

I was just going over my method in @Cityofgrit's log the other day.

I took it from RTS, but yes.

Start with the bar or one plate on deadlift, do some reps, then add plates and reduce reps till about 1/2 or 2/3 to projected top set and do whatever reps are planned for that all the way up. After warmups hit 90% projected top set for same reps, then 95% for same reps, adjust top set if necessary, hit top set.

Like if 650x3 was the projected top set on deadlift:
135x5
225x5
315x5
405x5
495x3
545x3
585x3 (90%)
620x3 (95%)
650x3

If 620x3 was rough just stop there. If it went as expected go for 650x3, if it was easy maybe go 660x3.

If you're working up to a single just replace those 3's with 1's and maybe some of those 5's with 3's.

Had a bigger post typed out then Perrin got in what I was saying in less... another thing dont train to failure. If you are working on 3s do 3 and maybe add another set with a little more weight.

I just browsed the RTS forums trying to find the source for that, but I'm thinking it's from the RTS Manual itself. If you type "RTS Manual PDF" in Google you can read it. It's definitely worth a read.
