Reactive hypoglycemia anyone else?

JK on the HGH. Doctor wants to re test everything in 3 months.

I’ve eaten pretty much everything possible. Anything higher than 30-40 carbs I react.

5/6oz of protein & fats no carbs I’m okay.
I’ve switched to low glycemic carbs
Eating sub 200 carbs. Has helped some but, damn do I not want to eat like a rabbit

We’re changing my blood pressure med & AI. See if that helps in a few weeks
Hoping all this nonsense is just some dumb estrogen mixed with BP med issues

Might just take GH again.
shortly after being told they want to test GH again in 3 months.
On my GH stress test. My body didn’t respond till 180 minutes after & I scored a 3.1 @ the 180 minute mark.
IGF was 199
Z score 0.2

Anything lower on that 3.1 mark they’d prescribe GH treatment daily.

Honestly ive thought of tirza or reta for these reasons then pushing the gh… i also have reactive hypoglycemia…. And have always wondered if hgh alone or in conjunction with tirz or reta maybe very helpful…
Tirz will not fix reactive hypoglycemia, could even make it worse

Yeah so my endocrinologist was saying to me
you’re very close to be able to have GH prescribed. But given your 199 igf level it’s not concerning and insurance will definitely not cover it. So it would be very expensive to pay out of pocket.
My body was just very slow at responding to Gh stimulation/stress test.
Cortisol and everything was fine.

she didn’t bring anything up in that worsening my reactive hypo or symptoms.
But given HGH raises blood sugar levels and affects insulin sensitivity. It might be worth a shot. I’m questioning myself on whether I should or not. Kind of waiting on my own personal labs I did before my appointment.
But already have my eye on some lobster Gh/reta

Hmmm so if my igf is a measly 138…. Could i get a script then along with my hypoglycemia?

Possibly! She was aware I was 230 in February and now 210lbs in may… love that.
But depends on the doctor I guess and how you respond to a stress test. + how you word your symptoms and issues.
But it’s
The Growth Hormone (GH) stimulation test to be exact. They ran an acth stimulation test too.
Just requires you to be there for 4 hours+ getting vials drawn from every 15 or 30 mins. Super boring.

This was the scale my doctor had for IGF-1. Whether it related to the stimulation test or just regular old IGF-1. Idk

4/30 is normal labs few weeks ago I was 261.0 ng/dl IGF
&
during the stress test I was 199.0 ng/ml IGF
Both taken first thing in the morning. Interesting to see a 60 drop.

Also random reference.

Pre GH use 2 years ago. I was tested at 250 ng/ml

2-4iu daily i was 330 ng/dl (nothing crazy)
Stopped in Late 2024

No GH…
4/30/2025 - 261 ng/dl

05/8/2025 - 199 ng/ml

Continue to see if that IGF result drops

again, what are your meals looking like? what you eat your carbs with impacts how or how fast its processed

again, what are your meals looking like? what you eat your carbs with impacts how or how fast its processed
At this point I’m eating sub 200 carbs barely even having carb sources
I’ve always supplemented fiber as well with meals that don’t contain much. Plus it helps keep me flowing right.

Examples. Of food right now. Sub 200 carb

-3 eggs 4-6oz 85 15 organic beef
Sometimes tablespoon of honey added
-Caesar salad with 4/5oz chicken ( no bs carb added)
-Small chewy oat bars sub 20 carb
-Okios triple zero
-Whole wheat bread slice with peanut butter
- 50g whey with blueberries and peanut butter shake
-Zero net carb tortilla with chicken and serving of cheese /salsa
- /veggies added to those meals too if they’re smaller servings.

All 2-3x or more, of protein and fats over carbs

Always having to have HBCD 20 carb (low glycemic index) at the gym to keep from going too low. Or feeling weak. Plus the pump is nice.

Before the hypo bulllshit it was a lot of:

5-6 oz chicken, whatever rice I had at 1cup with mustard or yogurt derived sauce ( less calories/fats)
4-5oz of a red meat and rice or potatoes
Triple zero yogurt
Whey shake with serving of peanut butter, sometimes honey added.
Veggies etc

Nothing to really be worried about. standard counted macros diet is why this sucks.

First of all dump the fucken chromium and the cinnamon… those 2 right there fuck with ur sugar and glucose… no idea why u use them is u have any sort or glycemic issues, i dont care what uve read… toss em out

Possibly glutamine as well…

I also have reactive hypo… and it blows goats but those 2 main items need to be gone… glutamine also made me feel less than great… sure good for the stomach… but what else??

What is MV? In ur supplements list?

Do u use hgh?

Have u tried keto, or carnivore?

Have u ever used metformin?

Carry oj with u, or drink it in the early morning… i feel fanfuckentastic thru most of the day if i get some oj in during the am… most who go hypo can drink oj and bring them outa the funk… or make them feel better until they get more simple sugars…

Id also carry honey packets around…
Not sure why I just now saw this. Just got the notification.

But I dropped all supplements. even creatine.
This hypo It really does blow goats, I’ll feel great randomly and then boom get hit with the weakness and sweating hot flash.

Seeing if I feel better off those and my BP med.
weirdly enough I ate a larger meal with a lot of carbs and felt fantastic for the last half of the day. It’s so 50/50. Which is annoying.
My girl and I were on a date and I was like idgaf I’m eating whatever I want and I’ll deal with the crash later. Never crashed.

-No GH currently
-Never had metformin (worried that’d mess with my sugar more than anything)
- haven’t done a specific diet quite yet. But certain days where I wake up and only eat protein and fats. I felt alright.

Simple sugars seem to temporarily help but then I end up crashing later on or it just makes the cycle of crashing shorter.

Do you have a cause for your reactive hypo?

Also waiting on my labs to see if my E2 is high and I’m just not noticing symptoms or they changed.
I’ve taken aromasin 2-3 times already tho over the last month.
Typically I’ve been on the mark with have mid range e2 with how I dose it.

Could just be high e2 and a need for a diet change. Hopefully *fingers crossed*

Honestly i feel it depends on the quality of the food… this past week i bought panda express, (we call this the gut to butt express) white rice, sesame chkn, teriyaki chicken and orange chicken… it maybe the breading or the oil but hory phawk… it made me feel like i was gun a fall out… i had to leave work early blurry vision and everything pointing to a migraine

Maybe time for me to go back to my 6 meals per day… and a few protein shakes…

Whats odd is during the week one day for lunch i had a couple pb and honey samichs and an apple and a few small items along with a gatorade and feel phawken fantastic and even the next day felt amazing…

Its such a crap shoot tbh

I may try tirz or ret because i was also told i had a slightly fatty liver and 2-3 cysts on it… maybe a cause of some issues??

Yes reta should fix it, as it release glucose from the liver when the BG goes too loe

So what if i have a slightly fatty liver and a couple small cysts on my liver as well? Ive seen where tirz helps a fatty liver, but will reta?

Ive had a few instances of low insulin and high bs, and others where i have high insulin and low bs…

What doctor was this? I have an amazing urologist who maybe able to get me on this test and see because my igf is a 138… maybe less now but would be awesome to find out and another question

How would u word ur symptoms and issues correctly for them to care?

This was my ENDO PA.

My symptoms have been weight loss, fatigue, weakness, lack of energy/physical ability in the gym/work, light headed, sore muscle/aches.
Every symptom of reactive hypo + those

Yeah no kidding. Only time I don’t feel anything terrible is lying down fully. Sucks. Just coming to terms of getting used to feeling like crap constantly

Oh man if only u knew… samsies… maybe we were destined to be on a tv show about lyin around all day, just not obese… im too damn young to feel this damned old… my body has begun its descent… trays in their upright position…

Cant even tell u the amount ive spent trying to determine what is exactly wrong with me… its not from lugggin this gigantic cawk around thats fo sho! At least then i could have a few low budget film credits to my name haha

Im thinken of hiring a new guy to aid in this but cant scrape together the 5k…

So update to all my issues. Might have posted this into my other thread.

Basically on 200mg test a week.
.5 adex every Monday.
2iu growth
After about a month of that. Most if not all of my symptoms and that weird reactive hypo is gone.
Whether that’s due to the glucose increase from the HGH, or having my estrogen under more control. I’m not sure. But those have helped.
I have way more GH and Reta coming here this week.

For the first time since February. I’m doing full workouts. The growth hormone definitely is helping with the muscle fatigue.
But now I’m just tired all the time, see if that improves with time.
