The day after I throw the towel in on this and decide it’s not worth discussing and portions of the “enhanced” testing are used to justify shitty QSC gear sold with floaters as “safe”.

Domestic sources have been run off of MESO for floaters. The good ones made right on the issue by replacing gear. Full replacement. No one ever suggested “meh, just refilter it and it’s g2g.

QSC spits out batches of shitty gear and it gets deemed “safe” because it’s free of endotoxins.

That’s harm reduction?

True I suppose. That continues to separate everyone into 2 groups:

- i. Those who will pay a premium for enhanced testing products (I already do...but I will also admit i am not running GRAMS of test products as would be closer to standard for bodybuilders here).

- ii. Those who seek the cheapest product (and whatever ancillary standards they want to throw in)

I presume your concern is that domestic sources will find "bad" test results, waste a lot of time and money trying to troubleshoot, and be at an even more serious competitive disadvantage? (Or worse, be shunned and chased off the site)

I don't have a perfect answer to that issue other than:
- make the same demands of QSC and SSA and GA etc. as the US domestics (even if we're shaking our fist at a cloud some days)

- give domestic sources with "bad" results a chance to work through their issues AND be willing to pay a higher cost (admittedly may be a high bar...but also sort of unknowable since there is zero widespread surveillance).

Watch what happens in the next couple of months. I'm hopeful within the next month.

Support vendors who do the surveillance and help improve raws quality. If you are a vendor and find a questionable result reach out to me. I will happily be the conduit to share the data while keeping your identity completely confidential. Happy to advise for free. I'm an impartial 3rd party who has only one agenda here. Clean up the trash and support the work of vendors who give a F. Together we can provide pressure to improve raws and finished product quality.

You are not the type of person that would ever buy from Qsc.
You have certain expectations and like to support domestic sources.
This is brilliant and I appreciate it, but it is not the scenario that is applicable to many other people.
Other considerations drive their purchasing.
All this is objectionable, of course.

But then you have individuals here criticising someone spending their own money on a testing "vanity project" and spamming sources threads with unreasonable requests.

Today, contempt and sarcasm for someone who quietly dared sending an oil vial containing floaters to Jano.
Apparently, it was used to condone the source and accept such product.

How many times have you seen them, on said sources threads, making their case, telling people to give a chance to domestic or other sources, for people to come together and not accept what they are being provided with?

The answer is never.
So, with that in mind, they are now also complaining at members wanting to refilter what they bought.

And to again clarify, I didn't support that at all and made it clear.

I'm still waiting for the input from more members but will go it alone if needed. Fine by me. Vendor by vendor until a new option arrives. Maybe I'll draw a picture to build off Spiff.

I see multiple feedback loops to expose inferior raws while not endangering the brewers' operation.
