We all love the different countries we're from, and honestly I have nothing bad to say about anyone elses. Sometimes a peoples' government may do "bad" things. I fully agree - I have lived all over the world, including the US. I think all this "my country is better than your country" nonsense ridiculous. I was not the one who bought up GDP - i only made a joke about the "free world" playing on USAs on use of the term during the early-00s when they aggressively pursued lassiez-faire global free trade. USA has now turned their back on this, and that's fine is their choice, but getting bent out of shape about a little satire was kind of odd of the guy.... And then he kept biting.

But no, I do not judge yanks by him. I work with many Americans - and for the most part I love them. I also don't judge you by your government as I would not expect you to judge me by mine.

Everywhere is over priced at the moment - except Portugal. If you have money and can work remotely Portugal is a very good prospect for quality of life. Shame there's not much good employment there though so remote working is essential.
