Yes i have an Omron bp machineIf you don't already, get a BP monitor as @PaintDrinker pointed out. I like using this one. It's about $80.00. It connects to my phone via blue-tooth and automatically syncs up with my health app & logs the info. I also have their weight scale the connect & logs the same. Makes data collection a breeze
Check BP first thing in the morning every day at least for a week to know where your at. Check regularly after that. I check every day, sometimes I miss a day, but it's an easy & vital marker to keep an eye on.

salt, and in a strict calorie deficit for going on 16 months now , chicken/rice, veggies ,yogurt, eggs, whey protein etc , average carbs 150 g or less, daily protein 180-200 g fats around 50-75 g , no sweet shit no fun diet lol all macros are hit and i drink no less than 135 oz of water a dayif you only use Testosterone at 200mg you probably have a genetic predisposition to have kidney problems
cystatin is a value that does not lie, if it is out of range there are very likely kidney problems already in progress
EGFR is low, you could already be in kidney failure
what I can tell you is to do an abdominal ultrasound as soon as possible and see what they tell you about your internal organs
how are you managing your diet, do you use a lot of salt?
Something(s) are affecting your kidneys. High protein diet, protein shakes, medications can affect kidneys. The liver can heal, but kidneys not really. No

Hey bro, the eGFR on this shows a much better kidney function result.
Yeah im really baffled idk ?Hey bro, the eGFR on this shows a much better kidney function result.
I guess the cystatin C test with the EGFR is more dialed in or something. I don't know.Yeah im really baffled idk ?
I sh** my pants first time I saw red like that too. With the more I researched and routine tests, it started to make sense to me and acceptable. My numbers have come back even lower than yours. Most recent was a couple points higher in health(y/ier) range. This stuff DOES go up and down. Just something to regularly keep an eye on going forward, because there is some deceased function. You just want to make sure it holds here—within these ranges—and just doesn't get out of hand without you knowing.Yeah im really baffled idk ?
Wow, inceased igf-1 on a deficit can damage kidneys? Acute or long term?Have you ever had elevated igf-1 response to supraphysiological dosages of rHGH? This would make the caloric deficit aetiology plausible.
What are you talking about? I am trying to establish a differential dx to his low igf-1 result despite 5iu rHGH per day.Wow, inceased igf-1 on a deficit can damage kidneys? Acute or long term?
Sorry man, i thought you were having a go at me. Looks like a genuine question after reading again. My knowledge is very limited but i only know that high BP over time and certain medications can cause kidney dysfunction but im sure there are people here know more about this.Wow, inceased igf-1 on a deficit can damage kidneys? No worries, I wasn't having a go. Definitely asking a genuine question. I'm very curious about what you've pointed out. I'm also with you on medications that can cause kidney dysfunction, for example ibuprofen. Long term, it can decrease function, as there are many others. IMO this is all vital info and helpful knowledge at the very least.Sorry man, i thought you were having a go at me. Looks like a genuine question after reading again. I am surprised at his low igf-1 result and someone mentioned a calorie deficit can be a cause. There are other causes aswell, some patients can develop anti-gh antibodies, its rare. I was just asking a question in which i can use deductive reasoning to establish a differential.
no baseline igf1 numbers, i took a test in March (213 igf1), now a test in October (194 igf1) the thing is, i have been in a calorie deficit the entire time i've been on hgh, started August-September 2023, so a little over a year on hgh,,,,,Have you ever had elevated igf-1 response to supraphysiological dosages of rHGH? This would make the caloric deficit aetiology plausible.
Bro, I started looking into accutane on kidneys, I'd need to spend more time looking into it. At first glance, I didn't see much on it actually causing decreased function. I did see there was one study where it caused a rare acute decrease/failure.i have been looking up all the "medications" i take and what their affects are on kidneys etc, i come to the "Likely suspect" ACCUTANE! i can't believe i haven't listed that!! as thats got to be the reason for my skewed blood work recently,,,,, I only have been taking it for 2 months at 20 mg daily, but that makes all the sense in the world now , Noww , does that make better sense fellas as to my blood work?
