Recent international orders signature required?

Had a question for those who have ordered internationally recently. Have they required a signature?

I have read through previous threads and it seemed about 50/50 but I was just wondering if people had noticed a change recently with regards to scrutiny towards international packages.

Normally in my town I haven't had to sign for international packages but it was mainly from Canada and England.
I didn't know if it depended on where you live or what country the package is coming from?

If a signature was required were you able to waive it online or check the note that they leave and have them deliver it the next day?

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Signature required or not ... if the feds want you. They got you. You're just playing with fire ordering international. It doesn't matter the amount.

That being said.. don't ever check the tracking number. I wouldn't even check the tracking number using a VPN. I don't trust any of that anymore. You're best bet is to pay more ordering domestic OR if you have to order across the pond. Make sure you send it to someone else's house who..

A. Does not have a record
B. Does not have any illegal substances in their house
C. Will not tell on you when the door gets kicked in

Good luck..

Thanks for the advice. Sent you a PM.

Maybe a bit paranoid here. Lots of people order international all the time with no issue. Worst case you get a note from customs that you just ignore and ask for a reship

I watched my buddies door get kicked in for ordering 500 tabs of dbol internationally.

I know a thing or two because I've seen a thing or two!

Paranoid? YES

No. No record whatsoever.

I had no idea he had even ordered it. I was sitting on the couch watching TV while we were grilling and heard a knock. It was a package for him and he signed for it.

Closed the door, sat the package on the counter and 10 minutes later you heard "POLICE..SEARCH WARRANT!".

I obviously had no idea of what was going on so I wasn't charged. They wanted to know who sent it and how he ordered it. He denied repeatedly and never owned up to the package. I'm guessing since it was such a small amount they didn't feel like pressing charges? I'm thought for sure they were going to charge him with at least possession but never did. This was several years ago.

I agree with you. Should have been more clear. Was asking with regards to being at work when the mail comes. Was hoping they would just leave it or a way to get them to leave it. Would rather not have to go pick it up at the Post Office since it is about 45 minutes with traffic and a pain in the ass.

If it’s coming Usps I noticed they have an option to sign online for packages. I see it every time I check my informed delivery.
I’ve personally never done it but still may be a option for you to consider.

Thanks a lot. That's what I was thinking of doing. I know they have a similar option to sign using the tracking number but I'm not sure it works for international packages. Can you tell which ones need signature with the informed delivery? Did you have to enter a lot of personal info for the informed delivery? It's not a problem I was just curious. Thanks a lot for your advice! Much appreciated!

You have to sign up for informed delivery so I'm not sure how much info you have to give. I am in Canada. It is a handy feature that we do not have.

You might be able to sign the pink slip they give you and leave in the mailbox so they will re deliver, not sure how that works tho.

Yes you give your personal information. But it will show you when regular mail is coming as well as packages.
I’m not sure about international packages. I just know it has the option to sign online for packages. I’d assume it’s for all packages that require a signature, but don’t really know.
You’ll just have to get on the Usps website and look into it.
