Death to the Bulk and Cut Diet

Any one try this or think it could work?? Im interested to try it but It seems like it goes against the "you build muscle on resting days thing"

Also i never drink any thing but water while im working out.. I have seen people drink protine shakes ect. During a work out but I get to hot/tired to drink any thing but water. I usually have to cool down a while after a work out to even drink my post work out shake or i cant keep it down. Is there really much benfit to a intra work out shake/snack?

I could be mistaken, but I think a shake 15 - 30 min after a workout works pretty well. This doesn't directly address your question of the intraworkout shake, however..

There is going to be different opinions on this probably but I believe there is definitely added benefit to intra workout drinks. I don't do shakes during though. BCAA's and dextrose. I add a few other things but most intra workout drinks are going to contain BCAA's, dextrose, electrolytes and glutamine. Sipping on a drink like this throughout the session will have a several benefits including energy and performance increases. There are a lot of other benefits you can research and apply as you see fit for your training and goals. Is it absolutely necessary? No. Is it helpful? Yes I think so.

Yeah i take a protine shake about 20 to 30 minuts after a work out i was talking about drinking one while you are working out.

So i can just get some glutamine and bcaa and throw it in a gatorade or power aid for electrolytes? I could probably try that. I know they market intra work out drinks but most look expensive and i spend enough money on suplements as it is lol

Yeah I recommend doing it that way. I'm basically finished with brand name type stuff. What I do is go to either bulk supplements.com or true nutrition and I blend my own intra workout drinks. Flavor with Gatorade for dextrose or kool aid or whatever you want. My blend is very similar to a product called Permaswole except I add arginine. Look it up and you can try it out as a base blend to mess around with if you want. Avoid mixing creatine with glutamine though, I believe they compete for the same receptors but I haven't researched that completely.

If you are eating your total daily calories thruout the day and not missing then you don't need to be sipping anything but water during workouts your body isn't starving
