Recovery therapy?

I am interested to know what people think about the irregular use of HGH and Test for recovery purposes. -what cyclists used to call "recovery therapy" Will this help or make things worse long term?

I am thinking about cyclists who are not on TRT but who will put topical test on their balls when doing a stage race or hard training block and may also use an iu or 2 of HGH to help them after a training hard day.

Is this approach going to work or will they end up suppressing natural production enough so that actually they are net losers at recovery in the long term.

I came across this paper (abstract below) -Fujioka et al 1986- which concluded that a single injection of 25mg of test p did not appear to affect endogenous test levels in healthy subjects. If so could an endurance athlete with adequate endogenous test use say 12.5 mg of test p or 10mg of TNE after hard days to compensate for the fact that cortisol will have wrecked his endogenous test and do this without messing himself up?

The paper is quite old and the study only used 2 subjects. Does anyone have more up to date information on this area?

"The pharmacokinetic characteristics of testosterone propionate were studied in normal men after a single im dose of 25 mg testosterone propionate-19,19,19-d3. Plasma levels of testosterone propionate-19,19,19-d3, its active metabolite testosterone-19,19,19-d3, and endogenous testosterone were measured by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Testosterone propionate-19,19,19-d3 was gradually transferred from the im injection site to the systemic circulation. The plasma levels of testosterone propionate-19,19,19-d3 were maintained at 2-4 ng/ml between 3 and 36 h after administration. Plasma testosterone-19,19,19-d3 levels were maintained above the physiological testosterone level for 48 h, while plasma levels of endogenous testosterone changed little."
