Amen bro,
The problem with the doctrines currently taught in most churches, are they try to make things simple and understandable for man. A verse like "There is no name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved", are perverted into specifically meaning that a person must hear the name of Christ to be saved. All it's saying is, there isn't another Saviour. He's it.
Pauls saying "And how shall they hear, if no one preaches" is taken to mean they must hear, in order to be saved. This leaves the Indians and most of the world since 100 AD, burning in hell for not being able to hear of Christ.
Church folks end up confused, and with some horrible horrible doctrines they have to live with and dance around. But they accept this as okay, because 'the church' said it. And because the church uses some bible texts and a little thinking (instead of inspiration and revelation from God), they end up with a 2 year olds version of God's economy.
They forget that according to Roman's, "The laws of God are written in men's hearts, and they are a law unto themselves", along with, "What measure you shall judge others, YOU shall be judged".
Jesus flat out died for everyone, period, end of story. NOW, through HIM, conscious, or unconscious, we are free to get as close to God as we want. The Holy Spirit draws all men... However seeks, WILL FIND, and if no one is around who knows the gospel, then "Blessed are you Simon Barjona, for you have not learned this from man, but were taught of God".
I'd rather have God as my teacher any day. "The Holy Spirit shall guide you into all truth".
But it's easier, and you can box up your salvation and keep it safe, by going to church and being a sheep.
Jesus is the good shephard, he died for his sheep. But he didn't say we were to stay that way.
Most people go the childish route of the law, as most of the church has been infiltrated by (the law is our schoolmaster to lead us to Christ). And like sheep they baa and follow along, doing, giving, imagining this is the life of a true christian.
A true christian life is alive, everything around you sparkles, you get to feel God, physically, all day long; you get to walk in REAL newness of life, an abundant life where you have to hold yourself back from weeping for joy at most of the sights you see during a day.
There is no desire for selfishness, you are so in love with God, nothing matters but him. And if you aren't there yet, you can ask and God will come down and purge you, circumcise your heart, and change you inside out.
He isn't something to talk about, doctrine doesn't matter, because you now know HIM. You walk with him, and the writer of the book is inside of you. You don't rely on your understanding of words written before, but along with them, you are taught personally by the Holy Spirit.
Oh how church people fear that statement! Oh my, how those under the law need to band together as sheep and say "This is how it is, you must obey OUR WAY, or you cannot be one of God's sheep!!!"
Good, because I plan on being much more than a sheep.
Jesus says the church (the real one, made up of true believers, not buildings of stone) is his Bride. God is in love with us, he woo's us, he desires us, as a man desires a woman. Romance, beauty, warfare, pain, integrity... start going down the list, it is all part of the abundant life Christ promised us.
I only know in the church I was dead, though I prayed for hours daily. I could barely keep the church warm.
God took me out, and now I'm much better. I realize my 14 or so dear friends, are my church, and as Acts teaches, we meet in homes and fellowship. That is a church, not the political judgment groups that meet in buildings and find reasons to dislike and put other churches down, saying they will go to hell because they don't believe the same way.
God is the God of all, and he IS for some, known as "The Great Spirit", or "Allah", or whatever. It's the same person, his name is GOD, and you can know them by thier FRUIT.
Fruit according to Ephesians is, "Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, meekness, gentelness, and faithfulness". Those things are easy to see, if one has them in their own heart.
Notice, fruit is not what you do, or what you believe!!!!!

VDC said:Scripture says that He is the saviour of all men especially them that believe,,,So he is even the saviour of the unbeliever also,,,Jesus said, "If I be lifted up I will draw all men unto me.",,,The Word of God became flesh and reconciled the world to God,,,Now the word of reconciliation is given unto us,,,Whose sins you forgive, I forgive also,,,Thats power and authority,,,and why do people think that the judgments of God are bad,,,All his ways are judgment,,,When we are judged of him then we receive according to our works,,,Not at some future date(at least not for me)but day by day,,,He scourgeth every son that he receiveth,,,I've known the chastisement of God,,,There is nothing like it,,,Our God is a consuming fire,,,He consumes that which is and is not,,,Only the truth endures unto all generations,,,VDC
