Religion!

Amen bro,

The problem with the doctrines currently taught in most churches, are they try to make things simple and understandable for man. A verse like "There is no name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved", are perverted into specifically meaning that a person must hear the name of Christ to be saved. All it's saying is, there isn't another Saviour. He's it.

Pauls saying "And how shall they hear, if no one preaches" is taken to mean they must hear, in order to be saved. This leaves the Indians and most of the world since 100 AD, burning in hell for not being able to hear of Christ.

Church folks end up confused, and with some horrible horrible doctrines they have to live with and dance around. But they accept this as okay, because 'the church' said it. And because the church uses some bible texts and a little thinking (instead of inspiration and revelation from God), they end up with a 2 year olds version of God's economy.

They forget that according to Roman's, "The laws of God are written in men's hearts, and they are a law unto themselves", along with, "What measure you shall judge others, YOU shall be judged".

Jesus flat out died for everyone, period, end of story. NOW, through HIM, conscious, or unconscious, we are free to get as close to God as we want. The Holy Spirit draws all men... However seeks, WILL FIND, and if no one is around who knows the gospel, then "Blessed are you Simon Barjona, for you have not learned this from man, but were taught of God".

I'd rather have God as my teacher any day. "The Holy Spirit shall guide you into all truth".

But it's easier, and you can box up your salvation and keep it safe, by going to church and being a sheep.

Jesus is the good shephard, he died for his sheep. But he didn't say we were to stay that way.

Most people go the childish route of the law, as most of the church has been infiltrated by (the law is our schoolmaster to lead us to Christ). And like sheep they baa and follow along, doing, giving, imagining this is the life of a true christian.

A true christian life is alive, everything around you sparkles, you get to feel God, physically, all day long; you get to walk in REAL newness of life, an abundant life where you have to hold yourself back from weeping for joy at most of the sights you see during a day.

There is no desire for selfishness, you are so in love with God, nothing matters but him. And if you aren't there yet, you can ask and God will come down and purge you, circumcise your heart, and change you inside out.

He isn't something to talk about, doctrine doesn't matter, because you now know HIM. You walk with him, and the writer of the book is inside of you. You don't rely on your understanding of words written before, but along with them, you are taught personally by the Holy Spirit.

Oh how church people fear that statement! Oh my, how those under the law need to band together as sheep and say "This is how it is, you must obey OUR WAY, or you cannot be one of God's sheep!!!"

Good, because I plan on being much more than a sheep.

Jesus says the church (the real one, made up of true believers, not buildings of stone) is his Bride. God is in love with us, he woo's us, he desires us, as a man desires a woman. Romance, beauty, warfare, pain, integrity... start going down the list, it is all part of the abundant life Christ promised us.

I only know in the church I was dead, though I prayed for hours daily. I could barely keep the church warm.

God took me out, and now I'm much better. I realize my 14 or so dear friends, are my church, and as Acts teaches, we meet in homes and fellowship. That is a church, not the political judgment groups that meet in buildings and find reasons to dislike and put other churches down, saying they will go to hell because they don't believe the same way.

God is the God of all, and he IS for some, known as "The Great Spirit", or "Allah", or whatever. It's the same person, his name is GOD, and you can know them by thier FRUIT.

Fruit according to Ephesians is, "Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, meekness, gentelness, and faithfulness". Those things are easy to see, if one has them in their own heart.

Notice, fruit is not what you do, or what you believe!!!!!

I'll tell you an extreme case I know of personally.

A guy who worked at the gym, just had this incredible personality. We instantly recognized each other somehow, but I was as confused as could be when I found out he hated the idea of God.

But as we got to know one another, over the course of a few months, I found out his story.

He'd been abused horribly as a child, his Father one of the raging alcoholics, and his mother a church going legalist.

Christ to him, meant a dead church full of hypocrites who judged everyone else. There was no love, just things that kept you from loving.

He saw a Bruce lee movie, and was inspired. He spent 8 hours a day practising (He's the deadliest human being I know, honestly. He hit me 3 times and I never even saw his hands move).

My own church training kicked in, and I feared... oh oh, might be SATAN he's worshiping in those martial arts things...

So God decided to teach me a lesson.

Andrew was showing me some moves, and I just couldn't get it. He said focus on your chi, that will help.

I said, "Chi", what the heck is Chi... I have no chi... (laughing)

He said something I'll never forget. "You have more chi than anyone I've ever met".

"Huh?"

"I feel it when I'm near you, your house is full of your chi. It's everywhere you go".

I said, "No, that's God... See?" and I placed my hand on his chest, and he felt the presence of God, and began to sweat from the heat.

He says, "That's Chi".

I get this tremendously odd feeling, and it's embarrasing, but I go with it... "Okay, this is weird, but I'm supposed to hug you". He says, Okay, no, I get that too.

So I bear hug him for a few seconds, and say, "Okay, now let's try", and I got the move down perfectly. He is just amazed, and we both stand there stunned. How the heck can you get a perfect form fighting move, from a hug?

I was still concerned, because he hated the idea of God so much, but I have to go by the purity and love I feel from this guy.

Several years have gone by now, and there is no question, because he finally proved it beyond a shadow of a doubt when we went to Toronto (a physical church there is experiencing God's presence, so we went to check it out).

Andrew puts up with my "God" talk, as I put up with his "Chi", and we both simply think the other is wrong, and we laugh about it.

A guy walks up to Andrew in Toronto and says, "I had a dream about you last night. God says you are to go back to believing the way you used to believe".

Andrew breaks down weeping... the barriers against the name (not Christ himself, for he knew Christ's love all too well) came down, and he says he is free to call him God now, knowing 'God' is not that sick bastard his parents taught him about, but LOVE, real, honest, pure, unselfish, kind, love.

When we sit in a room together watching a movie, God will show up and start nailing us with heat, tingles, revelation, laughter, you name it, Andrew is just fun to be around. He's the most honest human being I know of, and I'd trust him with my life.

But Andrew for years, hated the name of Christ and did not believe in God.

Yet Andrew was saved, as the church calls it. Andrew was regenerate, and more like Christ than any man I've ever met. I used to tell him that to aggravate him. Now he doesn't mind (rats!)

The church tries to teach it's people to evangelize, but they do it out of effort and thought. Evangelism is not necessary to teach and have classes on (for crying out loud!!!). Evangelism is YOU, knowing Christ, and having others want to know WHY you are so different and amazing!

But most christians aren't, quite honestly... so they have to 'learn' to evangelize.

If you are a child of God, you need no classes... Spend enough time with God, you become like him, and bingo, everything works out on it's own. The fellowship is great, but this thing the church does is SICK.

They try to teach men's minds how to ACT correctly, how to PERFORM.

This is a love affair, a relationship, intimate bedroom relatinship, with GOD. It's not a thing for the mind. They take away the workings of the Holy Spirit, while claiming that is who they are following.

What idiotic person would sit down, take apart, and examine the details of his relationship with his wife? How about just BEING IN LOVE!!!!

Glory!

Neo.. You've been splitting a lot of hairs here with your posts.. and basing all of your arguments on semantics...

I'm not going to jump in the middle of this argument...And I'm not going to say your right or that you are wrong... but I think one thing that you really need to hope for above all else, is that you are truly correct in your assumptions.. because when you stand before God one day and you are judged, I doubt very seriously if God will debate you about anything.. It will either be or not be.

I wish you well in all that you do, and I will pray for you....

Peace!

It may look like splitting hairs, but it is inifinitely different, black and white.

The motivation of the heart is everything, what you DO, is nothing.

If your heart is full of love, you will be loving, patient, kind, and can literally do no wrong.

If your heart is selfish, you can do no right.

A selfish and a loving man can do identical things, but one is evil, and the other good.

Obeying the law to 'be good' is self-rightiousness. We have the rightiousness of Christ. Our hearts have been made new.

If a man dies to self and gives everything to God, and God has him do things against the law, this is infinitely like Christ, who disobeyed the Sabbath and every other Jewish tradition.

I do not advocate evil, to go and kill. I advocate that a man's actions, controlled by God, can often look evil to others, because they discern through a lie, the lie of the law, and in this case what the church teaches.

I can only tell you before God I stand, and it's only because he put me there. I have no rightiousness of my own, and my actions and words are often no doubt foolish. But that doesn't matter.

And that is my point.

Man looks on the outward, but God looks upon the inward. So says Scripture, so says God.

I'll stand with you bro, and I will not fall, for he is able to keep me.

"Since I believe God TOLD me to both do roids, and smoke weed, I had no choice. To disobey would be a sin."

Lol That is one of the funniest statements i have ever heard in all my life.Guys please put this thread in the best of meso logs.

It seems like foolishness,,,but I know Neo is serious,,,The Lord had Jeremiah lie on his side for 30 days manipulating a model of the city of Jerusalem,,,Showing its fall at the hands of its enemies(Babylon-Persia),,,All he could eat was cooked with cow's dung(Dung burns),,,It goes against the Law of Moses to eat anything prepared that way,,,BTW They threw both Jeremiah and Ezekiel in jail as traitors because they obeyed God speaking the fall of Jerusalem into existence,,, Shadrach, Meshach, Abedego went against the law of his land(Babylon again)when they didn't fall down and worship the image,,,Jesus did break many of the laws of his land to show God's supremacy,,,Peter was locked up in chains between 2 guards,,,God sent an angel,,,The chains fell off,,,All the guards slept,,,all the doors opened,,,All against the commandmant of the local authorities,,,To hear and obey is the only way to please God,,,VDC

lol This is the first time I can recall agreeing with Desi. To relieve any future question of my christian faith and defiance of the bible due to the use of AAS I will affirm that God also told me to take AAS. :D

To AnimalMass... (your PM is full dude!)

If it's not in your heart to do a thing, you shouldn't do it, so no sweat if you aren't inspired to write.

Thanks for responding man.

Two things there Mr. Smartass (hey, you know you are, and are proud of it, and I don't blame you)...

If you say God told you and he really didn't, there is no protection from the law. You could get busted. Otherwise, God protects you.

Secondly, this isn't defiance of the bible in my case, it's because I believe very strongly in it that I break man's law when God tells me to. It specifically says to do so.

It's also possible to hate the bible, not call yourself a Christian, but be the greatest saint to walk the earth.

How bizzare is it for every religion to claim to be 'the one'... The one and only religion, is loving God with all of your heart, and your neighbor as yourself. Everything else is suspect as far as truth is concerned.

But the one thing everyone knows is right, is to love others.

And I don't mean whimpy smochie love, I mean the real thing that would stand up and be a man to die for someone (although there's nothing wrong with the tender stuff either).

Kindness, forgiveness, patience, etc., don't rule out a hell of a lot of fun, they mean you can go even farther, because people will know your heart is for them. You can get away with murder, and no one's feelings get hurt.

Actually I've noticed that about you, despite your ascerbic responses, apparently you are a really nice, and even sensitive guy (not as in the normal sense of the term, but the best sense).

(I'll be waiting for the necessary flame...)

The logic works, the only thing is obviously people somehow imagine roids and weed are inherently wrong, and then for others who don't believe God talks, well, I can understand their view a little easier. God didn't talk to me like this for the first 39 years of my life. I could hardly imagine he did it when I heard others say anything. I just put them down as dellusional.

I do find it odd people are so 'legal' here all of a sudden, but that's just the church people I guess. The rest don't care about illegal substances (juice for instance), they realize their bodies are their own and no one should be able to tell you what to do with your own body. You are it's steward, YOU will suffer if you abuse it. So it's yours to do with as you please.

lol Hey I just got called a smartass twice in the last two minutes, I'm starting to see a pattern. Neo, if you stick around long enough you will see one of the many "How can you be a christian and use AAS?" threads, uh oh, I hope I didn't start something, that's what I was primarily referring to in my last post. BTW thank you for the kind words.

Good hearted smartasses are easy to spot I guess (okay, not at first, as you recall the air in the vein dispute... heh). Everyone likes you for it. You get respect that way.

Being a christian and using AAS, I'd like to tackle that one, and I won't even say "God told me too".

I'll use Emerson and a few great 19th century authors to demonstrate EXACTLY what the founders of our constitution meant by 'life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness' (which was originally, persuit of property, believe it or not, but they changed it).

There is a need in this nation for people to disobey the law in protest. But not that many are willing to go to jail for AAS (you just get parole at first I realize).

If everyone who smoked weed stepped up, they couldn't have enough jail cells. It'd be the funniest mass arrest ever... The entire country goes to 'turn itself in'. Now THAT would be the greatest thing ever to happen in the last 100 years in America.

My view is also this, that men in the church are at fault in self-rightiousness, because they hide their sin. God told me not to hide my sin, so everyone gets to see when I mess up. He told me that would get rid of my pride.

Just the other day, trying to get into a store (2 minutes after it closed), a parking lot guy says, "Don't you know what a watch is?"

I turned to him and said, "Hey, fuck you".

Now, was that a sin? I think partially, because my heart wasn't full of love. I was irritated at his attitude. ON the other hand, it was one of those friendly "fuck you's" that people know what you mean. He grinned from ear to ear.

My beef is with people who think language is evil in and of itself. Best buddies and say "Fuck you" and it's their way of bonding and showing love. Enemies can say, "I love you", and it's the most evil thing...
