Republicans 2016

I think Mass Turk was asking about Putin and Russia the other day. Here's a little something near there anyway, The Ukraine. Also some news about one of our wanna be leaders, my all time favorite, Hillary.
I know this will upset CBS because it was put out by Global Research. And we all know how far left they are. Sort of like a reverse of Camera.org.
But thank goodness bits and pieces of this comes from the Wall Street Journal.

Between 2009 and 2013, including when Mrs. Clinton was secretary of state, the Clinton Foundation received at least $8.6 million from the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, according to that foundation, which is based in Kiev, Ukraine. It was created by Mr. Pinchuk, whose fortune stems from a pipe-making company. He served two terms as an elected member of the Ukrainian Parliament and is a proponent of closer ties between Ukraine and the European Union.

In 2008, Mr. Pinchuk made a five-year, $29 million commitment to the Clinton Global Initiative, a wing of the foundation that coordinates charitable projects and funding for them but doesn’t handle the money. The pledge was to fund a program to train future Ukrainian leaders and professionals “to modernize Ukraine,” according to the Clinton Foundation. Several alumni are current members of the Ukrainian Parliament. Actual donations so far amount to only $1.8 million, a Pinchuk foundation spokesman said, citing the impact of the 2008 financial crisis.

The Pinchuk foundation said its donations were intended to help to make Ukraine “a successful, free, modern country based on European values.” It said that if Mr. Pinchuk was lobbying the State Department about Ukraine, “this cannot be seen as anything but a good thing.” – From the Wall Street Journal article: Clinton Charity Tapped Foreign Friends [14]

* * *

When I first came across the title to this article, I didn’t think much of it. In fact, I almost didn’t even click the link thinking it was just a repeat of a prior expose I highlighted in the post: Hillary Clinton Exposed Part 2 – Clinton Foundation Took Millions From Countries That Also Fund ISIS [15].

Fortunately, I did decide to take a look and pretty soon my jaw absolutely hit the floor. Although the Wall Street Journal didn’t play up the connection, I was stunned to see that of all the oligarchs connected to foreign governments who donated to the Clinton Foundation while she was Secretary of State, Ukraine was at the very top.

I thought this to be strange, but as I read on I just couldn’t believe how connected the main donor was to the current regime in power. Considering this is the main geopolitical hotspot on earth right now, many, many questions need to be asked.

[16]

Let’s also recall some of the more shady aspects of the new government in Ukraine by taking a look back at the post, Made in the USA – How the Ukrainian Government is Giving Away Citizenships so Foreigners Can Run the Country [17]. Here are a few excerpts:

Claims that the new government in Ukraine is nothing more than a Western puppet Parliament have been swirling around consistently since February. Nevertheless, I think it’s very significant that the takeover is now overt, undeniable and completely out in the open. Nothing proves this fact more clearly than the recent and sudden granting of citizenship to three foreigners so that they can take top posts in the government.

At the top of the list is American, Natalie Jaresko, who runs private equity fund Horizon Capital. She will now be Ukraine’s Finance Minister, and I highly doubt she will be forced to pay the IRS Expatriation Tax [18] (one set of laws for the rich and powerful, another set of laws for the peasants). For Economy Minister, a Lithuanian investment banker, Aivaras Abromavicius, will take the reins. Health Minister will be Alexander Kvitashvili of Georgia.

Now read the following from the WSJ [14]:

The Clinton Foundation swore off donations from foreign governments when Hillary Clinton was secretary of state. That didn’t stop the foundation from raising millions of dollars from foreigners with connections to their home governments, a review of foundation disclosures shows.

Some donors have direct ties to foreign governments. One is a member of the Saudi royal family. Another is a Ukrainian oligarch and former parliamentarian. Others are individuals with close connections to foreign governments that stem from their business activities. Their professed policy interests range from human rights to U.S.-Cuba relations.

All told, more than a dozen foreign individuals and their foundations and companies were large donors to the Clinton Foundation in the years after Mrs. Clinton became secretary of state in 2009, collectively giving between $34 million and $68 million, foundation records show. Some donors also provided funding directly to charitable projects sponsored by the foundation, valued by the organization at $60 million.

The foreign donors reached by The Wall Street Journal said they contributed to the foundation for charitable, not political reasons.

Former President Bill Clinton promised the Obama administration the foundation wouldn’t accept most foreign-government donations while his wife was secretary of state. The agreement didn’t place limits on donations from foreign individuals or corporations.

During Mrs. Clinton’s time at the State Department, Mr. Schoen, the pollster, registered as a lobbyist for Mr. Pinchuk, federal records show. Mr. Schoen said he and Mr. Pinchuk met several times with Clinton aides including Melanne Verveer, a Ukrainian-American and then a State Department ambassador-at-large for global women’s issues. The purpose, Mr. Schoen said, was to encourage the U.S. to pressure Ukraine’s then-President Viktor Yanukovych to free his jailed predecessor, Yulia Tymoshenko.

Mr. Schoen said his lobbying was unrelated to the donations. “We were not seeking to use any leverage or any connections or anything of the sort relating to the foundation,” he said.

Please Schoen, don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining.

The Pinchuk foundation said its donations were intended to help to make Ukraine “a successful, free, modern country based on European values.” It said that if Mr. Pinchuk was lobbying the State Department about Ukraine, “this cannot be seen as anything but a good thing.”

Oh certainly, all you have to do is take a brief look at Ukraine to see what a wonderful thing it has been.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia wasn’t allowed to give to the foundation while Mrs. Clinton was at the State Department. But several prominent Saudi Arabian businessmen gave millions.

Victor Dahdaleh, a London businessman whose foundation contributed between $1 million and $5 million, has ties to Bahrain’s state-owned aluminum company. He was the intermediary between the state-owned Aluminum Bahrain B.S.C. and Alcoa World Alumina, which is majority owned by Alcoa [19] Inc. Last year, he was acquitted in London on charges of bribing Bahraini officials to secure contracts for the Alcoa firm. In the U.S., the Alcoa affiliate pleaded guilty last year to corruption charges [20], and the Justice Department said an investigation into the matter remains open.

Rilin Enterprises, part of a privately held Chinese construction, infrastructure and port-management company, made a $2 million foundation pledge. The company was founded and is run by Wang Wenliang, a member of the National People’s Congress, China’s formal parliamentary body. Mr. Wang didn’t respond to a request to speak with him during the annual meeting earlier this month.

Mr. Wang is the former municipal official of Dandong, a city of 2.4 million in the Liaoning province on China’s border with North Korea. His company now controls that city’s port, a major trade route into North Korea.

The Clinton Foundation was unaware Mr. Wang was a delegate to the NPC, said a foundation official.

One of Mr. Wang’s firms was a contractor for the new Chinese Embassy in Washington.

In today’s fraudulent and rigged oligarch economy, this is what we call a nice “return on cronyism.”

Global Research isn't wrong because they're far left. There are lots of far left publications that are legitimate news sources. Global Research is wrong because they publish complete and utter horseshit written by paranoid moon bats.

To suggest Global Research is "like a reverse Camera.org", an organization that uses easily verifiable references to expose moon bats like Global Research shows you lack critical thinking skills.

GOD AND JEB
Inside his spiritual journey and his stealth campaign to woo Christian conservatives.

http://www.nationaljournal.com/magazine/jeb-bush-religious-christian-conservatives-20150327

A twice-failed gubernatorial candidate who helped boost Mike Huckabee to victory in the 2008 caucuses, Vander Plaats has grown accustomed to presidential aspirants lining up to kiss his ring, and his group, the Family Leader, has yet to choose a candidate for 2016. But when Bush's team planned the former Florida governor's first trip to Iowa in 15 years, no time was set aside for Vander Plaats—or for any of Iowa's other prominent Christian conservatives. The snub had left Vander Plaats stewing.

So who did he see when he walked into the Marriott lobby on Saturday morning? Bush himself—accompanied by David Kochel, the longtime Iowa Republican strategist who's been tapped to run Bush's national campaign. Kochel leaned over to the candidate, and after a nod and a whisper, the two sprung up and made a beeline for Vander Plaats.

Ted Cruz’s religious horror: Why he’s really running for High Priest of America
http://www.salon.com/2015/03/28/ted...es_really_running_for_high_priest_of_america/

In many ways, America deserves Ted Cruz. After all, it’s been nearly eight years since voters (and the Supreme Court) elected a cocksure, right-wing adopted Texan, long on discredited ideology but short on wits, who plunged the United States into a sinkhole of economic and foreign policy chaos from which it has yet to fully emerge. The American political attention span is notoriously short.

...

Cruz’s White House run is disturbing, and not just because it involves Ted Cruz. Rather, he embodies the modern conservative propensity toward a fundamentalist American civil religion and its attendant, overly simplistic myths. As the English political activist George Monbiot observed during the dawn of the second President Bush’s Iraq War, to America’s conservative subculture “the United States is no longer just a nation. It is now a religion… It is not just that the Americans are God’s chosen people; America itself is now perceived as a divine project.” American civil religion hinges on what Ted Cruz defined in his Liberty University speech as “the promise of America,” embodied in “the American exceptionalism that has made this nation a clarion voice for freedom in the world, a shining city on a hill.” The religion of America is a civil religion that casts the United States as a divine world power shaped by a series of comforting myths that, in the eyes of fervent believers like Cruz, make it the ultimate political Promised Land.

For JB, this will be an issue.

Jeb Bush Was Right to Try to Save Terri Schiavo

Jeb ‘Put Me Through Hell’
Michael Schiavo knows as well as anyone what Jeb Bush can do with executive power. He thinks you ought to know too.

In all, the Schiavo case involved 14 appeals and numerous motions, petitions, and hearings in the Florida courts; five suits in federal district court; Florida legislation struck down by the Supreme Court of Florida; federal legislation (the Palm Sunday Compromise); and four denials of certiorari from the Supreme Court of the United States.[5] The case also spurred highly visible activism from the pro-life movement and disability rights groups.[6] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terri_Schiavo_case

I don't know much about Rand Paul but I have a lot of respect for his father. I hear Clinton's trying to explain away foreign donations, did anyone ask her about Benghazi? Other than Paul it looks like a freak show.

Rand Paul’s character problem: How he compromised his entire belief system for politics

"The problem for Paul with libertarians is that trading foreign policy libertarianism for more better economic libertarianism makes you a generic Republican. Libertarians don’t just see over-the-top military spending as something to be traded for cuts elsewhere. They see cutting over-the-top military spending as a major goal in and of itself.

...

"What does Paul offer libertarians now that the other GOP candidates don’t? He wants to slash the hell out of domestic spending. Nothing unique there. He wants to comically ramp up defense spending. Nothing unique there. On social issues he’s getting more and more God-y in preparation for the Iowa caucuses. Nothing unique there. He’s still great on criminal justice reform and the War on Drugs, but even that’s becoming less of a controversial position within the Republican party. If that’s all that’s needed to retain the sheen of “libertarian candidate” in the field, libertarians might as well throw their weight behind Rick Perry."

Rand Paul: Gay marriage debate a ‘moral crisis’
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...rand-paul-gay-marriage-debate-a-moral-crisis/

Earlier this week, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) made an about-face on defense spending. He also shifted on same-sex marriage.

Speaking to a group of pastors in Washington on Thursday, Paul said that a moral crisis is leading people to believe that same-sex marriage is acceptable.

Paul told the pastors that they have a role in Washington and that prayer is a part of government.

"The First Amendment says keep government out of religion. It doesn't say keep religion out of government," Paul said, according to the video.

Goodness...here's a pretty low opinion of one of our wannabe's:

TED CRUZ AND
THE RAPTURE OF THE MONEY
(ARE YOU READY FOR THE “END-TIME” TRANSFER OF YOUR WEALTH?)
By
Tom Mysiewicz
__________________
“The number 12 (in 2012--Ed.) means ‘divine government’, that God begins to rule and reign. Not Wall Street, not Washington –God’s people and his kingdom will begin to rule and reign…The rabbinical teaching is… that this will begin what we call the end-time transfer of wealth. And that when these Gentiles begin to receive this blessing, they will never go back financially through the valley again. They will grow and grow and grow. It’s said this way: that God is looking at the church and everyone in it and deciding in the next three and a half years who will be his bankers…”
Larry Hutch, Introduction to sermon by Rafael Cruz, 26 August 2012 at Larry Huch’s megachurch New Beginnings in Irving, Texas

“So, it’s business as usual, then, regardless of whether it makes most people howl at the moon with rage? Goldman Sachs, this pillar of the free market, breeder of super-citizens, object of envy and awe will go on raking it in, getting richer than God? An impish grin spreads across Blankfein’s face. Call him a fat cat who mocks the public. Call him wicked. Call him what you will. He is, he says, just a banker “doing God’s work.”
Lloyd Blankfein, Goldman Sachs CEO (and employer of Ted (“Rafael”) Cruz’ wife) quoted in the Times of London, 8 November 2009

___________________

Canadian-born Ted (Rafael) Cruz’ father Rafael Cruz—a Cuban communist who actively promoted Castro during the 1950s and is now a “born again” Christian Zionist —preaches the doctrine of “END-TIME TRANSFER OF WEALTH.” In this curious “dominionist” variant of the “rapture” doctrine, money, rather than believers, will be “raptured” to the loyal supporters of Israel. Zionist Jews and their “righteous Gentile” Christian Zionist helpers will then become “stewards” of the world’s wealth by 2016. New presidential candidate Ted Cruz has apparently been anointed by evangelical Christians to carry out this mission.
(Note: Judging by his demand as a Passover speaker, I’m inclined to believe Ted Cruz has some Jewish roots he should be proud of and acknowledge—something I hope he does during the campaign. After the Cuban revolution, many Cubans chose to evacuate by boat to Florida. But the more risk-averse 95% of Cuban Jews, also called “Jubanos,” were evacuated from Cuba to Canada in a secret deal between the Canadian Government and (Jubano) Fidel Castro. A popular name chosen by Jubanos who’d been the victims of the evil practice of forced conversion at some point in history was Cruz or “Cross.”)
Since tens of millions, quite possibly billions of people could die in the process of end-time wealth accumulation for Israel, it would be prudent to question at this stage, as Mr. Cruz’ anointed son seeks the highest public office, if this “wealth transfer” really is the work of God or simply is the work of some very fanatical, and/or greedy and evil men?
Firstly, 2016 is the year believed by Jewish extremists in Israel and the U.S. and many Christian Zionists to be the start of the so-called “messianic era” in which Palestinians will be expelled from Israel, a new temple will be constructed on Temple Mount, and animal sacrifices will be resumed. (The recent Israeli election must have given them great encouragement--Ed.) For this reason, a blemish-free red heifer is reported to be under guard in the U.S. to be used to commence temple sacrifice in 2016, when it will be three years old. Accomplishing this will take much wealth and military action on the part of “anointed allies.”
So there is certainly a religious element in any such wealth transfer. (See also endnote on Shemitah and blood moons—Ed.)
Some skeptics might even go to far as to single out individuals and organizations—rather than God-- that might have facilitated the process of wealth transfer for pecuniary gain for themselves and banking cohorts. Names come to mind. Alan Greenspan, Ben Bernacke, Janet Yellen and Stanley Fischer (former Bank of Israel head) acting through their Federal Reserve System in the U.S. and the rest of the AngloZionist world central banking system, Goldman Sachs and a quadrillion dollars in derivatives, and the lunatic U.S./NATO foreign policy adventures in Ukraine/Eastern Europe, South America, Africa and the Mid East advocated by a host of pro-Israel neocons.
Which brings us to the newly announced presidential candidate, Ted Cruz, son of the abovementioned esteemed preacher.
"Kings who are anointed to go to war, win the war, and bring the spoils of war to the priests (in Israel)" is what’s needed said Rafael Cruz during the sermon quoted at the outset of this article. But is there any connection of this goal with the candidacy of Ted Cruz, which will likely end with him as the vice president, a heartbeat away from President Jeb Bush’s job?
In a nutshell, yes.
“Discussion of the now-notorious speech by Rafael Cruz has missed the fact that Ted Cruz was subsequently blessed and anointed by prominent dominionist pastors, in effect as a "king" in the political/governmental sphere, at a special blessing ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Des Moines, Iowa, at a July 19th-20th 2013 rally designed to draw pastors into politics. “
Ted Cruz has already made his bones in this regard, after an amazing (almost miraculous) rise to power that included a stint with Supreme Court Justice William Rehnquist. He put George W. Bush into the White House—turning the neocon dream into reality through 911 and the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq—by delivering the “Christian evangelical” vote to Bush in 2000. As a quid pro quo Bush pushed through the so-called “faith-based initiative” that funneled, and continues to funnel, tens of billions of dollars of public money into churches, many of whom espouse strongly Zionist doctrines.
End-time profits? Afghanistan, it turns out, has vast resources in energy, and minerals, in particular rare earths and materials for nanotechnology and is a strategic location for pipelines. Iraq, in the process of being dismembered, will see the oil wealth transferred to Israel through Kurdish proxies. As future VP, Cruz would be in an excellent position for advocating Benjamin Netanyahu’s long hoped-for war with Iran—especially since that country could provide a myriad of end-time wealth! An indication of this: Cruz recently helped lead the recent illegal and treasonous push to interfere in U.S. foreign policy with the invitation to Netanyahu and threats to sabotage any peace agreement made with Iran.
In addition to new Iran sanctions he’s trying to pass, Cruz says he’d sign the threat letter again, this after sharing a podium in D.C. with “holocaust survivor” Elie Wiesel in Washington on March 2nd. Subsequent to his introduction by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach as a “lion in the defense of Israel and the Jewish people,” Cruz seconded the statement by Weisel: “To be Jewish in this world is to always be concerned…When enemies make threats, take them seriously. When evil begins its work, don’t give it another chance.”
Could a desire to secure more end-time money for Israeli and Christian Zionist “priests”—to say nothing of bankers and arms manufacturers--find satisfaction in the rich farmlands and national assets of Ukraine? Perhaps so. Ted Cruz, while he had earlier advised against a direct attack on Russia, has now taken a leading role in advocating supplies of “defensive” weapons to Ukraine. According to Radio Free Europe (RFE)/Radio Liberty (RL), 23 March 2015:
“U.S. Senator Ted Cruz said the United States must stand against Russia's "acts of war" in Ukraine. In an interview with RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service Director Maryana Drach in Kyiv, the Republican senator said the United States should help provide the Ukrainian people "with the tools and equipment necessary to defend themselves."

Rand Paul Is Losing His Father’s Base
http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/rand-paul-is-losing-his-fathers-base/

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul’s presidential campaign is less than a day old but already suffers from an identity crisis. Paul wants to win, but he can only do so if he is seen as more mainstream than his father, Ron Paul, who ran for president in 2008 and 2012. At the same time, Paul can’t completely jettison the far-left and far-right positions that have made him a hero to the substantial number of Republican libertarians who made up his father’s base.

In Paul’s dream world, he’ll satisfy everyone. In the most likely real world, he’ll end up satisfying no one.
