Restarting TRT

I tried the topical roll on TRT last year, and I never got the results I was looking for. I stopped using it, after about 4 months, and didn't set up another appoint due to COVID. Now with things reopening, I'm looking to get started with a new doctor. I did get a prescription for test cypionate last year that I was going to try as an alternative. I wanted to see what it was like using that instead, so prior to getting new blood work done (originally was total test was 205 ng/dl at 47 years old). I tried 100 mg for 3 weeks, felt absolutely great, and stopped 2 weeka ago ahead of my appointment 3 weeks from now. I don't know how much more my already terrible test production will be shut down, and I wasnt sure if I should try some kind of PCT first so the doc has some sort of accurate baseline to work with.

What results were you seeking that you did not get the first go around?

As for PCT or whatever, why not ask your doctor what he would prefer?

If the PCT works well, then you will have high testosterone, and the doctor will not prescribe testosterone.

If it were me, I would just wait for the appointment and do nothing. That would be a very accurate baseline, wouldn't it?

That’s my thinking, but I wasn’t sure if my natural testosterone level would be too low after after having used test 100 mg for three weeks. Sounds like that’s the plan then.

What I was looking for was increased energy and libido, which I felt pretty quickly on test cypionate and didn’t notice at all with the topical. Really wish I had tried it before, but it sounds like I’ll be on the right track going forward.
