Reta issues - switching to tirz

I switched from Reta to Tirz due to heart rate fuckery that never went away even after 4-5 months. Like +10-15bpm sometimes. I had a couple incidences of my abdomen getting a big hard bump in the side after eating too much which I assumed was food digesting too slowly. It went away and was fine after. Also got the most foul smelling sulphur burps a few times but generally my sides from Reta other than HR were nil.

Tirz seems to do the exact same thing just as well. I just skipped i injections for a week and went straight into Tirz, no issues.
Those sulfur burps are the worst!!

Had the same thing happen when I tried going up from 6 to 7. The sulfur burps would start in the middle of the night, terrible gas. And the worst stomach cramps I’ve ever had.
Went back down to 6 for now. Just maintaining for the winter, will look to remedy this problem come spring, and get back to cutting.

I’m finding a lot of success with a lower dose of Reta and 2mg x 3 tirz per week. Tirz doesn’t curb my appetite as quickly after a dose, but it’s stating to take a hold after a week now.

It’s still early but I feel the tirz makes me full fast just like Reta, but it definitely hasn’t helped as much with craving guilty pleasure foods.

I’ve been reading a lot of people stacking Reta with tirz and having success. I will have to give it a go.

First off, this is a peptide issue but this forum seemed most appropriate. If I’ve posted in the wrong location I apologize.

I’m looking for those who have experience with a similar issue, or have a strong knowledge of glp-1’s who can suggest a path forward.

I’m 42 years old and started a cut about 3.5 months ago at roughly 23% body fat. I’m sitting stalled at about 13% now. I started Reta at 4mg per week split into two doses which worked amazingly well for several months. Eventually my hunger and cravings began returning so I increased my dose to 5mg, also split into two injections.

As before, my body became accustom to 5mg. I quickly learned that any time I attempted to increase my dosage above 5mg weekly I experienced severe gas later in the evening, after 5pm. This issue was especially bad when lying down to sleep. My burps smelled like garbage. This symptom persisted for approximately a week and only subsided after lowering my dose. This issue was bad enough that it severely affected my sleep. I tried this titration three times but each time this same symptom returned. I feel it’s obvious my body hit its limit with Reta.

Looking around the internet, it sounds like I was experiencing slow gastric emptying, resulting in food lingering in my stomach long enough to ferment.

I’ve just started a partial transition to tirzepitide. I’d also like to keep Reta present for the benefits it provides related to using GH.

I’ve decided to try reducing to either one dosage of Reta at 1 or 2mg once or twice a week. I’ll pin tirz Monday/wednesday/friday at 2mg each.

I’ve taken the Reta twice now at 1.5mg then again at 2mg but it’s too soon to evaluate whether it’s working or not.

Can anyone provide some input on whether or not I’m going about this the right way? Or better does anyone have anecdotal experience with this issue?
I will just add: Anyone with acid reflux issues should think twice about GLP-1s. The slowing of the digestive system causes the stomach to make MORE acid which will add to already exiating conditions. At the very least be prepared for this. I personally had to stop Tirz due to it overpowering even my Nexium.

I’ve had more acid reflux than normal BUT I’m also running tren, which is notorious for causing acid reflux. It’s been manageable and I’ve been able to shed quite a few pounds.

That blows that you had to stop, because it is a wonderful drug. Have you considered Reta, or trying something other than Nexium?
