Reta worked great for me at 8mg, then my appetite came back.

I used to do "large" dose of tirz, about 14 mg before switching to reta, and I finally experienced the effect at 8 mg and it was GREAT.
Now, however, the craving came back, not as strong but it does bother me lol.

I do want to drop another 15 pounds to be somewhat happy. I am thinking if I should slowly keep increasing the dose up to the maximum OR if I should do a bit of Cagrilintide.

Anyone have similar experience or what did you do? Thanks

I noticed a profound i crease in efficacy when I increased from 8mg to 10mg split weekly. I actually had to reduce back to 8mg as I was co sisterly missing macro goals. Now I am back at 6mg.

I would personally titrate up to 12mg reta before considering adding another compound.

Can I ask what your dosing looks like?

For reference, I run 10 mg once weekly on Sundays. I titrated up 1mg per week. The pharmacokinetics support weekly dosing, even though a lot of people split it up and argue for multiple injections. I stick with what the science supports so far.

My pattern is very consistent with Sunday injection. By Monday evening I feel it fully come online. Tuesday/Thursday appetite suppression is strong. Friday I start to feel a slight return. Saturday I’m noticeably hungrier. Sunday I re+dose.

So realistically, I only need real discipline for about a day and a half each week.
Because of that, I can comfortably get by on protein shakes and meal replacements, plus one solid, nutritious meal per day. Retatrutide doesn’t kill my desire for food, it regulates it. I still enjoy food and even crave junk sometimes, but after a few bites I’m satisfied. The urge to clear the plate just isn’t there anymore.

I started my 2nd run of reta at .5mg mwf for a total of 1.5mg weekly. I've titrated up to .8 mwf over the past 6 weeks. My gastric emptying is regular unlike the first run in which it slowed drastically. It helps me to not overeat and my cravings for junk are well controlled. Eating a consistent diet has been easier and I'm down to the most shredded I've ever been. About another 6 weeks to go before I start ramping calories back up.

Why such a high dose ?
You could split into Mon.- Thurs. Injects

Add some congrilitide. It helped me big time. I had to remind myself to eat because I was never hungry.

The studies show the biggest health benefits start kicking in at 8mg and higher so you are just starting to get into that territory. I would move up to 9 or 10 on reta and not worry about adding anything else.

Also, reta stays in your system for 6-7 days so micro dosing doesn't work the same as it does with sema and tirz that only last 3-4 days. Everyone can make their own choices on that one but you should at least understand how it is working.

I had a really similar experience. I also ran higher tirz before switching to reta and felt like the appetite suppression peaked around that 7–9 mg range, then slowly faded over time. That “honeymoon phase” seems very real.

What helped me was slowly titrating reta up instead of jumping straight to a high dose. Gradual increases brought appetite control back without major side effects. Going straight to max dose felt unnecessary and gave diminishing returns.

Since you only want to lose ~15 lbs, you’re already close to goal. I’d personally go with small dose increases + tightening nutrition/activity rather than aggressive dosing.

Cravings creeping back happens to almost everyone at some point, totally normal. You’re doing great already.

9 and 12 mg, but on most people starting from 1mg already helps. Not everyone is heavily obesed

Those studies are in obese people that pretty much live a sedentary lifestyle. The health benefits kick in at very low doses not at 8mg or more. I don't see how anyone uses near 8mg unless they have no self control at all when it comes to food. Never been over 2mg per week and blood work has never been better, and fat melts off at that low dose.
