"Retard strength"; compliment or insult?

Eh no. I know people use it that way but its disrespectful. Now Im gonna be called a snow flake cause im a considerate human being....jesus. sure if someone said that to me I understand what they meant but I wouldnt personally use it.
I think intent and context must ALWAYS be taken into account when deciding if something is "right, wrong, good or bad". Even the "N" word, when used in a certain context, by people of a specific race/ethnicity, is not looked at as an insult.

I'm tired of wholesale statements, or "blanket" statements as they are often referred to, when making decisions about whether something is right or wrong. (this is not a slight to you, just a general "blanket" statement o_O).

If you have too ask OP, it's pretty clear what category you fall under.
I can see it going either way honestly. Depends on the person I suppose. For example, "strongman" isn't a compliment to me. I think of circus act buffoon. "Are you a cage fighter" isn't a compliment to me, it's a damn insult. Retard strength, I'm honestly not sure how to take that one. It could go either way, hhahaha

I have been asked if I was a crossfitter, bodybuilder, powerlifter, etc. (I am a competitive strongman). I don't get upset about it because most of the time people don't understand the difference and they're asking because they need more information.

It's like asking what's the difference between trenbolone and nandrolone. If you don't know the difference they're all just steroids.

Or it could be like confusing a Haitian and a Jamaican, or an Irish and Scottish person. If you don't know the difference, they appear to be the same thing.

In my family, we have somebody that is considered MR(by schools and agencies) because he has cerebral palsy and low IQ but god damn, he is strong dude. Like super strong. Has one of the firmest grips I’ve ever come across and he can outwork/lift more than a lot of people.
Bet he'd do well in powerlifting if he has the right training and able to stick to it. Mentally challenged people like that I have to give props to for making do with what gifts they have.

A buddy did time in prison and tells this story of a huge black dude who had a long stretch for robbing banks. Every month when commissary would come this dude would deliberately flood his cell which, im told, caused a lock.down and no one would get commissary. The dude would beat his chest "aw ha ha haw ya'll aint getting shit!"

So every so often various groups would try to jump this dude and my friend said he saw the guy take on at least 5 or 6 big dudes at a time with ease. Never knocked down not a scratch on him. He goes "this big old ****** had RETARD STRENGTH."

So I would take it as a compliment definitely.
