Asking Mac to engage in "mutual combat" and then Mac punches him "before Rich can react"... That is the definition of a sucker punch... and watch how Mac had to really lean to reach over the walking fence which was a direct obstacle between them. It was a sucker punch.

Fights start with a punch. Rich called him out mac swung. Sucker punch is when he wasn't expecting it. And rich was expecting it. That's why he took his watch off and gave it to his girl.

I did not know that. Now that info changes everything. That basically gives Mac the impression that Rich would be making the first strike and would seemingly justify his preemptive attack as more of a defense.
