Is it just me or is everyone else sick of this tree-hugging, hippie bullshit about providing health care, welfare and driver's licenses to fucking ILLEGAL immigrants?
I was reading an article on CNN lambasting that prick Schwarzenegger for voting for a bill that would deny ILLEGAL immigrants the ability to obtain a legal driver's license.
Huh???? Does the ILLEGAL part escape everyone's attention?
I'm not anti-immigrant. I see nothing wrong with moving somewhere else in search of a better life. As soon as I find a country that has non-invasive, non-paternalistic laws that also has English as the official language, I'm fucking moving myself.(so, like never) However, there is a difference between applying for a visa, getting approved, getting permission and then moving and simply swimming a river or hiding in a packing crate.
If you want to argue that all immigrants should have the rights of US citizens, then do away with the goddamned immigration policy and throw open the borders to all comers. You can't say, "well, you came here illegally, but, since you're here, we'll treat you like a citizen." It doesn't work.
