That's kinda what I was thinking deep down, along with lots of other stuff. I'm terrified of the thought of being married with kids one day and not being able to give my kids the truly happy, loving environment that I wasn't quite able to have. I want my relationship with my future wife to be as close to perfect as possible, and I just didn't think that was very likely with this girl.

I went over to her house today to talk cause I felt like I owed her a better explaination for why I wanted to end it, and we ended up having probably the deepest, most intense conversation I've ever had. For 3 hours. Long story short, we talked about stuff I didn't think I was capable of talking about and I decided I'll give it another shot. For the first time in this relationship I can honestly say I can see myself potentially being happy with her for the rest of my life. Time will tell though. I'm willing to cut it off again if I ever feel like I have to, but I'm optimistic about things.

You did the right thing by going over to further explain yourself and who knows, this could one day turn out to be the best decision you ever made.
Finding a good woman to spend the rest of your life with is more important and rewarding than anything you will ever accomplish monetarily or otherwise. Take it from a guy that got married at 19 and am still very happily married to my best friend and biggest supporter. I dont know what i would do without her she is my rock. And the fact that she's beautiful and sexy AF dont hurt either[emoji6]
 
Glad to hear it. Not being able to open up and let people in is one of my biggest character defects. Me and mine almost broke up last year because I'm basically an emotional cripple. We ended up having a long talk like that and worked things out and are engaged now. It'd be good to stay in the habit of opening up now as it gets harder after years of keeping things to yourself. Good that you know it's not the end of the world if you do break up, too.

Anyway, I was going to ask you if you were still experimenting with the fourth day. Is that working well?

Yeah I'm awful at talking like that. It was tough for sure, but I'm very happy I was able to have that conversation. I've learned a lot in the past few days.

Anyway about the lifting, yes I'm liking the forth day. The cleans that are supposed to be "light" on this day don't feel so light, but that's to be expected the day after heavy squats and deads I suppose. I'm gonna keep at it. I need the extra power clean practice.
 
Push press: 235x5x4
Squat: 395x6x4
Bench: 290x8x3
Deadlift: 440x5x3
Chin ups: 272x7,2 (rp)
Incline curls: 45sx10,3,2 (rp)


For some reason my push press felt like shit, but everything else went great. I was expecting to get 7-8 reps on my last set of them but failed my 6th rep. Oh well.

I had a lot to drink last night and was up til 4 am lol so I'm surprised this workout went as well as it did. Definitely not complaining. I'm really happy that my squat is still progressing so well. Hopefully this keeps up all the way though the end of this blast. Not that everything else isn't progressing too, but I just get extra excited about squats. I can't wait to use 400 on Thursday.

Edit: and by the way my weight post-poop this morning was 262.

Solid workout, I was pretty happy with my cleans. I must have just lost focus on the third single cause I didn't catch it properly, but the other 5 felt pretty good. I'm a little disappointed with my incline bench though, I was expecting to get 10-11 on the third set. Oh well, at least I'm still adding weight to the bar.

I feel amazing. Couldn't have asked for a better workout. I'm stoked about getting to 400 for my squat here. Deadlift felt amazing too. My last warm up of 495x1 didn't feel so great so I wasn't very confident going into the working set, but the first rep went up well so I knew I had all 5 reps after that. Anyway as you can see, I tied perrin for the bench contest with 23 lol. I wanted to get one more so bad but I knew I wouldn't get it and I didn't want to fail a rep.

Also, first time I've been 270+ in the gym since my first cycle over the summer, so that was nice to see.

 
Didn't you do other working sets before your 225x23 too?

I'd be really happy to be able to get 28-30 by the end of this blast.

I did bar x whatever, 135x I think 10, 225x3, 225x3, 275x1, 295x1, 225x23. I wasn't quite going to full lockout per the rules of that thread, so you probably have me beat honestly.

Nice easy workout. I'm liking this forth day. It's releiving, especially mentally, to go to the gym knowing I don't have to do all those squats and everything.
 
Nice, I think you'll like and benefit from the fourth day and it'll evolve as time goes by. Makes doing the extras better and gives them more attention. It's usually my heavy pressing and weighted chin up days where I can give them full attention, when I'm doing my own programming anyway. You've inspired me to start doing shrugs again, it's been over a year since I've done any.

I severely neglected my traps for my first 2-3 years of lifting and I'm paying for it now. I've been doing a pretty good job I think of getting them caught up, but they're still lagging. I just want big monster traps!

Pete is a fucking monster. I've been sub'd to his channel for a while. I can't believe he almost pulled 900 a few weeks ago WITH A TORN HAMSTRING
