Ruptured tendon healing protocol

5 days post injury. Swelling is mostly down, but bruising and minor fluid retention are present. Pain is non existent, even when pushing on the injured area. Bonus points if you can spot the ped related item in the pic lol20250811_114605.webp

Broad shoulders aren't the most comfortable in an MRI, but having a thicker back really crams your face up into the tube.

It isn't always enough to overcome a phobia, but have you tried Xanax? A doctor, especially one who knows you, won't typically have a problem prescribing you one.

That was definitely the worst part, being right up there with my nose to the tube. I thought I could maybe close my eyes, but the the pressure on my shoulders was a constant reminder of the sardine tin I was in. When I tore my distal, I tried Xanax to get through the MRI, but it didn't work and I was forced to use an open MRI. I thought this time would be different as it's been about 8 years, and my anxiety is better under control in general, but I'm also a bit larger and thicker, so it just wasn't happening. I can tell it wouldn't matter, I'd need to be totally sedated for it work, and I'd rather not be put under general anesthesia for an MRI. They were scheduled out till March for sedated MRI's anyhow, so it really doesn't matter. I'm going to have to take a day and drive to an open MRI several hours away, once I can get it scheduled.

How is the recovery protocol going? Any changes to what you are using?

Very interested in seeing how the recovery goes. I know it's impossible to determine what is doing the most good to least good, but I like everything you used and hope it has a better recovery outcome versus using nothing.

For the most part, I've been sticking with what I originally planned. I did lower the Anavar to 10mg 3x/day down from a single 50mg tab. I am taking a combo of Deca and NPP, about 100mg 3x/week (had an open vial of Deca I wanted to use up) as I read that nandrolone can help with collagen synthesis ad moderate doses. I've been going a little higher on the BPC, TB4 and TB500 frag than originally planned. I'll just draw about 10% extra per shot, so not a huge difference. The KPV is at around 1mg/day and the GHK-Cu is about 10mg/day. So far so good! I'll keep the thread updated as things progress or I make changes.

So far things have been coming along nicely. No more swelling, but definitely some atrophy from not getting any bicep work in for over 3 weeks, along with limited day to day use of the arm. I'm being extra cautious for now, but have had zero pain for the past 2 weeks plus. The arm feels good, and I've caught myself using it in a way that puts some weight on the bicep, all without incident. On July 20th, my arm measured a hair above 20.5" flexed without a pump. The injury occurred August 6th. Today, the 28th of August, the arm measured at 19.25" inch lightly flexed (being cautious) without a pump. Not terrible, all things considered.

Relaxed. Looks almost normal

Lightly flexed. From this angle it looks very similar to how it did pre-injury

I plan to add in some very light bicep work starting next week, and probably some light, pronated grip back work as well. I'm still going light with everything else, even legs, as I'm trying to keep systemic fatigue to a minimum, and allow my body's recovery processes to focus on healing the injury vs healing muscle from serious training sessions. It's frustrating, and I'm down about 12 pounds at this point, but I'm trying to keep my focus on the long term and not become short sighted.

i have the same "popeye" deformation, but like you said , it doesn't really hurt, it sometimes has muscle spasms and such, but you can train lightly, just to keep the blood flowing.

@AllGoodThings Thank you for the follow up. Have there been any changes to your recovery protocol? Have you been consistent with the multiple daily injections? I am definitely following along as I am very curious on the recovery effects of the compounds you listed.

I haven't missed a single injection, and have actually done 4 doses of the 3x/day stuff quite a few times. I've changed the GH to 4iu in the morning and 8iu a bedtime instead of 4iu 3x/day. The second shot may have been giving me some afternoon drowsiness. My doses of everything are likely a bit higher than originally planned as I'm drawing a little bit extra into each shot. No negatives of any kind so far.

How many mg per day of bpc157 are you doing?

Yeah i am also a high dose Bpc157 guy , i been running 6 mg daily with 1 mg Tb500, and it really is effective imo at the higher doses,
My TB500 (TB4 full sequence) dose is probably around 5mg/day right now, and TB500 Frag is about 1.5-2mg day. Frag has very limited data on it. What are your thoughts on these?

Ive used tb frag in the past, from my understanding you just have to dose more frequently, i think they are both effective used along side Bpc157 , i prefer the Tb4-500, more bang for your buck imo.

It's difficult enough differentiating between TB4 Full Sequence and TB500 Frag, but then my research leads to this and I'm even more frustrated with how poorly vendors label their TB4/TB500. I had no clue there were so many fragments of TB500. I'm pretty sure the one I have is TB500 Frag 17-23, but I'm not positive.

Thanks for sharing this

I'm shopping around for some BPC157 and TB4 to try and clear up some chronic shoulder/bicep tendonitis. Saw a few different frags listed on vendor sheets.

i used the tb frag 17-23 from GA when i had cts/ulner nerve surgery both times, i had to do both hands/elbows, but now i am using Tb4 full 43 aa chain , but i had good success with frag in the past,
