Saggy chest... what age?

I'm in my 50s. I don't like giving my exact age that way I keep the popo guessing.

I know everyone ages differently. But, at what age did everyone start battling the saggy man boob horror? It's one of my worst fears about getting older. I'm not talking about those who lost weight after battling obesity or the guys that have gyno issues. It's the saggy loose skin that worries me.

I'm currently reducing my size for health reasons. No more 257lbs like in my avatar ever again... sad emoji. I took 7 months off from training completely and only took 100mg sustanon every 10 days. I figured the fastest way to lose muscle was to just take a long break, plus the ozempic prescribed for my diabetes made eating less easy as crap. Plus breaks are good for the body every now and then anyway.

Currently I've been back in the gym for about 2 weeks and taking 75mg test p and 50mg mast p eod. I have never had gyno issues. For some reason all my male breast tissue is in my arm pits not around my nipples. Im currently 5'9" 225-230lbs. Weight already went up about 5 lbs from water, glycogen, and nitrogen buildup... I respond quickly on the fast esters. So when did you all start having to deal with that loose boob skin or saggy titty syndrome?

PS I didn't oil down for the pic. It was hot outside so I'm sweaty lol. Yes I know I need to focus on my chest more... pitiful!

I looked at the pics and I do not see an issue here. Muscular looking, no sag or droop in these pictures. I know this doesn’t answer your question, but you seem to be aging better than 99% of the world.

if there is any loose skin I’m sure it will tighten back up pretty quickly. I mean, if you are dropping weight for health reason there will be a tad bit of loose skin when the muscle shrinks a bit, right?

Again, respectfully, I don’t see anything you should be unhappy with here.

Thanks. I hope I have until I'm at least 70 lol. By then I may not care anymore... maybe.

I don't have a useful answer aside from I would say you have exceeded the average age for worrying about sagging.

This may be one area where pro (ok...fake) wrestlers may give you an idea of the average age of losing the sagging battle. Gravity and time are undefeated.

I'm amazed at the specimens they remain into their early 50s...then it seems like most still look way more ripped than our average 55 year old, but it is impossible for them to beat the aging progression (but maybe the lifestyle also makes it hard for them to overcome at a certain point).

You don't have to watch wrestling closely to notice it...I've barely watched in 3 decades but amazed to catch glimpses of dudes that are still kicking it. I've yet to see a dude past 55 show obvious signs of "dad bod" (or what many regular mortals experience in their 30s without working their assess off).

Chris Jericho is a prime example right this very moment ..no shame in it...I'd be thrilled with looking like that at 55 myself...lol.

You sir, are a genetic specimen...and I'm sure plenty of work went into the foundation in the earlier years...but you're a freak of nature to still look that solid especially after months outta the gym. Kudos to you.

Thanks for the compliment.
Oh I'm well aware that I'm over worried about it. But like I said it's one of my biggest fears. I'm a firm believer that all men should be able to take their shirts off and feel a sense of pride. When the time comes that I'm afraid to take that shirt off I'll know it has happened.
Just like I take all my pics unpumped and without flexing. That's for the gym. I want to know what I look like just walking around the beach or on a hot day. It's a gift that us men can take our shirts off whenever its a hot day... not that I'd complain if chick's started doing it also lol.

Chris Jericho... this is exactly what I fear!

I know...there is a reason I picked that example. You did a great job explaining what you fear...lol.

FWIW, you aren't living a wrestlers lifestyle and you're 10 years ahead of Jericho in maintaining physique.

Aside from plastic surgery and an unnatural look, I don't see anyway to avoid that saggy look (on the opposite end, you could go Vince McMahon....). I'd be proud to be Jericho at 55.

I respect that ain't your goal. But even the ripped old men at my gym still have sag and obvious wear that can't be hidden. I don't see the shame in it.

Your problem is no one is ever going to guess your in your 50s...lol. So it's possible someone will assume your a slightly saggy 40 year old when you are 60. Take that for what it's worth (a win in my books....but I know you didn't come there for a pep talk...lol).

This was me a few years back when I was bed ridden for almost 2 years. I stuck mainly to real trt but did a couple stints of 400mg test for 6-8 weeks (if I remember correctly) to help keep some mass. I stayed at about 250lbs and at least 18% bf. I also came completely off everything with zero pct for 4-6 months (can't remember the exact number of months). This is the worst shape I've been in my whole life. I'm talking no gym at all for almost 2 years straight. Muscle memory and a moderate cycle and within 6 weeks I was looking like I worked out again. So I'm not superman by any meams. But it's like you said a good base helped immensely. But, I still wasn't afraid to take my shirt off in public lol.

I often wonder what I'd look like today if I never had any of these medical issues.
