I do get some soot like particles at the bottom, which i assume is just dust.
It's not alot tho. Im using a PTFE .1um filter but im pretty sure those can be filtered out via a .45um given the size of it.

Threw my stinky TRE raws in ethanol
surprisingly easy to dissolve
20g/300ml and it dissolved with barely any heat

this is what im planning to do
(1) raws in ethanol
(2) hot ptfe filter .1um
(3) evap ethanol
(4) crash in freezer
(5) water bath
(6) evap till dry

anything im missing?

i do not want to use any other solvents

Don't go straight from hot plate to freezer let it cool slowly, room temp then fridge then ice bath then freezer if you had good TRE you can seed it. You dont want it crashing to fast and oiling out because you just trap all the impurities back in the crystal lettuce.

Ou will need to reduce the volume of that ethanol. I can't stress proper ventilation enough if not working in a fume hood.

It's in my fridge now, q.s till 700ml with ethanol.
I created some crystals in the freezer then moved it over to the fridge.

I'm not sure if ill ever use it, I'm just gonna leave it there for the interim lol
I ended up buying oils from a vendor with 98% TRA

That's about 125mg/ml.

I don't really know the solubility of AAS APIs in ethanol, i'm actually surprised it even holds so well

You dont want solubility you need ypur product back remember . You need the concentration at about 50 to 60% to crash it out. And thata not full yield but you will get rid of more impurities

It's in my fridge now, q.s till 700ml with ethanol.

It crashed so bad overnight. turned into a huge block.
Had to uncrash it..q.s till 900ml now and left it in the fridge (not freezer)

The later. Either way I increased the ethanol content and I'm crashing it a lot slower in the fridge now instead of the freezer. The crystals look more pronounced now.

The bed of crystals is fine just bust them up and into the butchner filter and wash em off.

The more ethanol you add the higher the solubility and the less yield .

Its always gonna form a puck on the bottom because its a solid and its denser than alcohol

I just had to do an entire Kg of test Cypionate I got from India. The liter bottle is what the first batch i attempted looked like when I got it. The clear volumetric flask was after removing whatever the fuck that yellow shit is left in the mother liquor.
