Scar tissue removal. Who's had it??

What's up guys? I almost exclusively used to pin delts. Occasionally glutes. I have 2 hard lumps on each delt the size of a silver dollar. I know it's scar tissue. Not painful but noticeable. I've tried deep tissue massage and nothing. I'm hardly looking to go through more surgery but was just wondering if any of you have this issue and if any have had it removed. Also haven't injected anything since last October. Thanks.

Not sure it will work. But you could look into ultrasound treatment. It is good breaking scar tissue, but at what stage I am not sure. Every surgery I have had they used ultrasound in rehab to prevent and break up any scar tissue formation from the surgery.

I hope that can be of some use. I am sure someone with my knowledge will come along and provide more info. I use my insurance for everything. I have some scar tissue build up from my last surgery on my rotator. And it has helped break it down some. No more sticking point in my shoulder. This was surgery from 2013. I go get these treatments now. Just started them back up not to long ago.

Ultrasound huh? Have to talk to my PC about that. They used that during pt after my back surgery but I didn't even think about it because of how bad it seems in my delts. Will look into it. Thanks bro.

Definitely worth looking into. Anytime brother. Might take some time. But you will once you start working on it, you should get most of it broken up.

How often had you pinned each delt?
When I ran my last 3 cycles I pinned delts almost everyday. Sustanon with mast was one cycle. Tren, prop, and mast were the 2 others. My other 5 cycles we're also delts. Maybe once or twice a week I'd hit glutes. But for a 12-16 week cycle I was hitting each delt probably 3x a week. Only used 27g 3/4 inch. So I pinned them a lot.

Damn brother! They can't keep you off the table huh?? What's the next surgery? How many can we get in before 2018!?!?!

I'm just playin with ya brother. Im noticing I have to push very hard just for the needle to puncture my skin on my right ass cheek. Everywhere else is golden. Can feel the needle pushing through my scar tissue there. Odd. Don't think I pin that spot anymore than my others. Going to have to start shooting in new areas.

I would definitely give the ultrasound a shot. Hell, at the very least you could try this out. I was reading in the ncbi that you can rub some lotion on your skin, and put some headphones up to your scar tissue while you play this. 100% success rate.

I'm definitely not having surgery! Just wondering if anyone's had it and what was the outcome. There has to be something out there that works to get rid of it.

The development of "scar tissue" has been grossly mischaracterized on PED forums.

The fact is bc areas of reactive fibrosis resolve once the cause is discontinued, I don't know of any surgeon who would touch AAS mediated "scar tissue" unless it was clearly demonstrable with imaging, significantly limited range of motion or resulted in neuro-vascular compromise.

And by the latter I mean, the fibrosis was so severe it compressed an adjacent joint capsule, blood vessels or nerves.

Heck consider the fact scar tissue is what will replace the resected MUSCLE if surgery was performed.

So one is left with a deep muscular scar, a taught muscle at best, and a cutaneous scar.

Avoid pinning a suspected
area, perhaps physical therapy and time mate.
Does time eventually break it down?? Didn't even think about the scar tissue forming when the scar tissue is removed. Never injecting again so hopefully it diminishes with time. Will check about physical therapy.

The shape of muscle is maintained bc fibrous tissue (AKA COLLAGEN!) courses throughout and around it. The net effect is a capsule of sorts with large amounts of interlaced collagen providing much of its support.

Repetitive trauma from multiple injections tends to result in the migration of fibroblasts who's primary function is to deposit collagen to "repair" or support those areas torn by pinning.

Once the "trauma" ceases fibroblastic activity will return to baseline.

Ok I understand that. Is it "normal" to still have scar tissue that is so hard to the touch. Obviously not a cyst. Like I stated they're a little bigger then a quarter. Very hard to the touch. No pain at all. Guess I'll just live with it. Asked Dr Marieb about it today at my follow up and let's just say he wasn't amused. He said let it be a reminder of your stupidity. First time he's lectured me. I deserved it.

Yeah idk about this whole scar tissue thing... I have it. Lots of people have it. It's scar tissue

I've got it at the insertion point of both pecs from three pec tears. I've spent a lot of time breaking it down though by digging in there with a lacrosse ball and via ART and Graston with my chiro, so it's a lot less than was there a couple years ago...

Shit I used to get deep tissue massages on my legs and lower back during track season. That woman had me death gripping her massage table, trying not to scream lol

I've seen people leave with bruises from Graston. But this one girl I know had it down and the next week she was 10 times more vascular than she usually is. She probably takes more juice than all of us combined so... Definitely worth it in my opinion.
