Scary - Soy products

Has anyone read Dr. Kaayla Daniel's "The Whole Soy Story" book or
read his interview on T-nation. Scary! Thank God I didn't like the taste.

Well,I was reading once about a study that was conducted with soy only protein supps and it found that soy protein drastically lowers test levels in men.
I always stayed away from the shit.

Bob and I discussed this last evening. Personally, I discredit much of t-mag because I think they are a gimmick mag. However, this doctor is independent of t-mag, so I'm not sure what to think. More than likely, the truth is somewhere in the middle.

The extremes sell a lot better than the middle ground, so....

I do my best to avoid soy. Its not an easy task considering, as the interviewee mentioned, soy is in damn near everything.

What interested me the most about the interview was the history behind why soy is being pushed into every product known to man.

A while back I got into Soy. I drank that Soy carob(chocolate) drink every day. Not really for health but because I liked the taste. I had about 30 grams of protein from it every day.
After roughly 2 weeks or so I felt like SHIT. I got way way weaker my drive to workout was gone overall I just felt horrible.I was to dumb to realize that it had to be the Soy. I had no idea at the time it lowered your test.
To make a long story short after I stopped with Soy COMPLETELY I felt great again though it took about 2 weaks to start felling better.
Soy products should come with a warning label. Maybe i had to much Soy but either way I find it to be pure poison for anyone that trains. Male or female.

Thanks Bob.....

Copied from linked article :

" Remember too that soy estrogens damage far more than the reproductive system. The thyroid is usually hurt first, leading to loss of energy, weight gain, depression, lethargy, and a host of other symptoms"

Very coincidental that I consumed lots of soy milk from 1987-1990. I was diagnosed with hypothyriodism in 1992. No more soy for me. Vegas
