Shorter and shorter Bodybuilders

I’m wondering if you guys have been noticing a trend of shorter and shorter bodybuilders within the last couple years. I am by no means starting a short bashing thread or trying to bring anybody down for being considered short ( less then 5ft6 for men) I myself am only 5ft8 and feel short most of the time. My own father was 5ft6. I’m talking about guys like Shaun Clarida at only 5ft2. I think if he was one inch shorter he would technically be considered a midget. What I’m trying to get opinions on is: how is anybody over 5ft6 going to be able to compete in the 212 and look as muscular as someone much shorter without going over the weight limit? It’s not just him winning the olympia 212, but im seeing tiny guys competing internationally. Packing 10 pounds on a short guy is like packing 30 pounds on someone regular height, I have witnessed this firsthand with a guy I work with. He is 5ft5, lifted natty for a few months, only gained about 8 pounds but was already looking like a mini bodybuilder. Same with a short chick, they can go from cute to chubby in 10 pounds, just nowhere for that weight to go. Should the ifbb stick with weight class or maby go back to height classes? Just opinions please- no bashing. Thanks. Bob

Mens bbing is watered down too much already, I can't see adding height classes making it any better. Yes to your question, I have noticed lots more short guys competing.

Op would you consider Nick Walker short for a mens bber?

I’m not sure how tall he is, i was thinking he was about 5ft8 or 9? Just looked, no- I don’t consider him short at 5ft7. Imo below 5ft6 is short- even for a bodybuilder. Guys got massive legs lol. Funny though, I always thaught he had kind of an odd look to him, kind of blocky.
