I got this from reading Dr. Weil's book he said to take 2 soft gels a day for the first to months then when your nails do better just take one.cpeil2 said:Really?? My nails look like hell. They're full of ridges in both directions and they tear easily. How much do you take?
pmgamer18 said:Well for the time being my Dr. does not want to add hcg shots to my TRT. I feel he has a good point on not including Hcg with T shots. He showed me the last test I had that he checked my LH and FSH. To prove his point my LH was 3.33 mIU/mL range 2 to 12 and FSH was 5 mIU/mL range 1 to 12. So what he is saying if I add 250 IU's two days before my next shot of Depo T I will kill my LH stop it. He told me a lot of men that are primary still have LH and FSH. My tests came back on the low side and he felt that the starting dose of 100 mg. every week was to low but to be safe that is what we started at. So now he upped my shots to 150 mgs. every week. But if I don't do better in 6 weeks he will try giving me Hcg.
I wonder if you have read my first post "Shots are not working. This one is an Update. I am not going on Hcg because I am Still making LH and FSH. It makes no since to stop my body from making it using Hcg to have Hcg replace it. I have been on TRT for over 21 yrs. and I am primary no Dummies about it. A lot of men on TRT Have very low levels of LH and FSH I don't and if I go on Hcg it will stop my body from making it. As for my test in my Update I was talking about my T levels on my blood test doing 100 mg. shots every week. My levels were on the low side so my Dr. upped my shots to 150 mgs. It may well be true that if you are on TRT and primary with a very low LH and FSH that using Hcg will help. But I am still showing that my body is making LH and FSH so all my Dr. is why do it you all ready have it.ciobl said:bros, according to Shippen:
"Usually, if it's a control center problem, lab tests will show that levels of LH and FSH are
low, indicating the body is not making an effort to stimulate testosterone increase. If its a problem of testicular incapacity, LH and FSH levels will be High because the pituitary, in a vain effort to force the testicles to manufacture t adequately, will be releasing those hormones at every opportunity."
For dummies:
LH and FSH -> high ( primary )
LH and FSH -> low ( secondary )
bros help me out as I am still learning this stuff, but am i missing something from his statement or am i misinterpreting something from above ?
pmgamer18 said:I was shocked when my Dr. showed me on my test that I am stil making LH and FSH. I see a lot of blood tests posted at the Hypogoandism2 group and there being on TRT has all but showed a very low LH and FSH so maybe they are not truly primary but both secondary and primary.

Unfortunately, you also get mercury when you eat fish the old fashioned way. You might also get mercury from fish oil supplements (or maybe not...it depends), but it is certainly less mercery per unit of oil than you get from eating fish. This is because the majority of fish oil supplement producers have a purification process. The said, the jury is still out about whether or not these purification processes are sufficient.DavidZ said:I get my fish oil the old-fashioned way......I eat a lot of fish!![]()
Maybe it is the way I write. I have had Low T for over 21 yrs. my first blood test was Total T 120 and the LH and FSH were at the very top of the range.ciobl said:That's exactly what I meant, if you follow the same pattern of low lh and fsh will suggest secondary is evident and therefore hcg administration is appropiate.
take care bro.
