Should I diet or add muscle?

I'm, 6'1 @ 261 body fat 26.9 %.



Should I diet to lose body fat or should I try to add lean mass and that will help lean me out later?

If your body fat is that high, I would drop some body fat. Keep weight training w/ your diet and cardio, as the more muscle you add and/or keep as your dropping the bodyfat will help speed up your metabolism. But definitely make dropping the body fat your main focus.

..well, it's really up to you isnt it? if you diet down are you going to be happy with what's under the fat.. do you want to diet down while winters coming only so you have to bulk back up in the summer? i don't know, if i were you, for hte time of year, i'd start trying to grow then diet down when the weather gets nicer but that's just my opinion. if you feel fat and nasty then yeah diet down now for your own well being but it all depends on you. if you bulk up during hte winter no one says that 26% has to turn to 36% , that again is up to you.

I would diet down to around 15%bf and then either bulk or diet further down-

personally im 6 '2 255 17% bf which i feel comfortable at... a couple of months ago i was around 270 and doing cardio was the hardest thing in the world....shin splints ...nagging knee and foot pain..lower back problems from running ...my legs took a pounding.....if you bulk to about 280+ cardio is going to be a very tough task.... i would say bring the bf under 20%...then take it from how comfortale you feel w/ your body

Last year when I came back from an injury that kept me out of the gym for 3 years I was around 240 and about the same bf as you. I did a cycle of test and eq and a 1600 calorie a day diet. In 4 months I dropped down to 188 and 16% BF...Then I did a 2 month PCT and back on to a bulker of 4000-5000 cals a dat with test,tren,EQ and in 9 weeks have put on over 30 lbs and the BF has maybe gone up 1%.

Diet down with some EQ and test to keep some quality muscle and then go to town :D

Bro what did u injur that u were out 3 years?
i hurt my shoulder one yea... i got sacked while at that exact moment i was passing the football....helmet hit the shoulder ...pop...out 9 months...that was my worst injury and i hated everyday of it

I tore a muscle in the middle of my back on the right side(deadlifting)..and I should say that I tried to come back 3 times and they longest I lasted before reinjury was 6 weeks. Its been 10 months so far and everything is going great, I'm right were I was when I left but it's been alot of hard work :)
