Should the US devastate North Korea before they have the ability to hit us?

I used to work with South Koreans fish processing , good people . They resent North Korea and wish they would straighten up and join the rest of the world . Many of their relatives are stuck in North Korea and cant leave . Hostage citizens/slaves held by a dictatorship.

The foreign policy is for anyone. But the let's kill everyone is wrong. I just came from South Korea. Theyre good people. And in north Korea them folks are suppressed. The have a dictator running them. Maybe Im a little amped, but killing everyone is always an ignorant answer

There is no need for a full out war with NK. That country is only becoming more unstable and it isn't anything a little proxy war and cloak & dagger work can't handle. South Korea has always been a friend to us and an important trade asset for the US.

Yes we would easily win over North Korea but South Korea and probably Japan would suffer greatly .
Kim would let loose with the missiles and levels thoses areas .

Without collateral damage? No. Minimal yes. Even so, it almost never goes that way.

I forget the name of it but there is a state of the art missile defense system they just put over at the dmz and other parts of asia. The biggest worrying in my opinion is their chemical weapons arsenal and nuclear threat. While they don't have icbms they do have nuclear bombs supposedly. Not the most practical thing but dangerous none the less. Im sure our intelligence community has all those details and scenarios planned out already.

Very touchy subject. We need to proceed with extreme caution so not to piss off China! Something has to be done with NK though for sure. We cannot allow that crazy MF'er to continue to threaten us and rub our noses in it.

The only thing that's proven to work in modern days is infiltration and corruption especially when aimed at youth.

Pretty much what beat China, Russia, Czech, Vietnam, Indonesia, DDR.....etc.

What long term gain have gazillions of targeted air strikes all over the ME achieved except create more terrorists for the next 300 years?

That's the problem with NK... kill the little fat man and another little fat man will take his place. The entire government needs to be toppled if the country is ever going to be free.

Question is: Whose responsibility is it to free the NK people?
