Shredding unwanted fat

Right now I'm doing cardio twice a day mostly treadmill just walking 2 miles each session. Due to playing fullback in football and catcher in baseball my whole high school career my knees are kinda shot. Trying to shed this weight I'm 5'6 about 245 I'd like to be down around 190 if I go any less I look odd due to my bone structure. What is the best thing to take to help shed the weight?

Download the "my fitness pal" app on your phone. Use it as religiously as you can. If your fat loss stalls out just reevaluate your macros and calorie intake.
Yes!

The tracking and intake planning will be the biggest thing.

Beyond that, I really like to do fasted steady state cardio in the morning, and some kind of HIIT after lifting in the afternoon. Bikes of whatever kind are easier on the knees, I feel your pain there. This routine, combined with a decent caloric deficit, will knock fat off of you really quick.

You may find some relief in your knees after you drop 25-30 pounds - as you drop some weight you might find you can try to intensify the cardio sessions.

Having your diet dialled in is absolutely key. Anyone can go to the gym 5 days a week and train their ass off..thats the easy part..but your progress will still be covered with body fat if your diet isnt dialled in. Read around about different clean diets for cutting, and draw up something that works for you. Always count your colorie intake and macros (proteins fats carbs)

You can take a good diet and training program, if you are looking to shed weight by "taking" something you will never be happy with the ended results because you will not have the true foundation to lose weight and when anyone uses AAS as a crutch instead of a performance enhancement then your wasting time.

First you have to find your TDEE then how fast do you want to reach your goal (be realistic) then find how large of a deficit you need for your timeframe. Now the tricky part of this is in your deficit you need to find a way to stay full and sane so that's were "clean" eating comes it. I put it in quotations as I think it is a stupid phrase as a calorie is a calorie regardless if it's a twix bar or a bowl of rice the carbs are still carbs and fat is still fat. But for the same amount of calories you'll get more volume in your stomach with the rice and that's why rice and chicken is used so much. Do you need to eat this way, no but unless you have a fairly well laid out cutting plan and have had previous success with it then "clean" eating is your best bet. I prefer keto dieting as I love fats and protein and could take or leave carbs but it's defiantly not for everyone and if you can't 100% commit then there is no point cause if you break diet for one snack your setting yourself back more steps then you've gone forward and will feel like shit knocking yourself out of ketosis

I was going to give keto a shot this year. Seems like some really see great results with it but like you said, 100% commitment. I have a Friday sushi ritual though soo... :(
