shrinking a pic

i tried to post a pic of my cars but it said the file is to big how do i shrink it thanks

earlier posts say put it as a jpg? and that normally works. otherwise some sort of phote editing shit. I got a free trial at downloads.com that worked for my avatars

I use photoshop, i open the file in that hit image>image size> then change it to about 72ppi if posting on the web. hey, if you want u can email me the pic, and ill shrink it and send it back. let me know.

Try Irfan View. It is a small free bad add image editor. You can get it at Tucows (www.tucows.com/windows.html). Just to go top picks....it is the most downloaded program on Tucows.

Start Irfan View and open your pic....then either hit "R" on your keyboard or go to the edit menu and then pick "resize/resample". You can reduce, enlarge etc.
