Hey all,
I did a silver nitrate solution test on the 5Amino. I'm not some chemistry whizz so I'm sure it could've been performed better. Object of the test is to determine chloride vs iodide ions.
Chloride ions should react to form white precipitate. Iodide ions should react to form yellow precipitate. Given the color of the 5Amino, it makes it harder to tell.
I believe what we're seeing is white precipitate. If someone feels differently, please let me know. I don't have much experience with this.
