I have tried melatonin and sominex with no luck. Any suggestions?

If melatonin doesn't work for you, you'll probably have to resort to a prescription sleep aid like lunesta or ambien.Juicaholic said:I have tried melatonin and sominex with no luck. Any suggestions?
In Case of emergency get some pain killers with codeine one that works really well Mersyndole.
Other than the Codeine it also has Doxylamine.
Doxylamine is a member of the ethanolamine class of antihistamines and has anti-allergy power superior to almost every other antihistamine on the market, with the exception of diphenhydramine (Benadryl).[citation needed] It is also the most effective over-the-counter sedative available in the United States[citation needed], and more sedating than some prescription hypnotics. In a study, it was found that doxylamine succinate is possibly more effective than the barbiturate phenobarbital for use as a sedative.[citation needed] For this reason, doxylamine has sometimes been used off label in a manner similar to diphenhydramine for the reduction of anxiety symptoms.

My wife gets wicked migraines these put her out nicely.
Take 2 an hour before you want to go sleepy nynys.
As zkt mentioned, 5-htp is a good natural substance, I know it is really good for helping production of Serotone levels in the brain for relaxation and less frequent head aches.
I think it may be a natural MAO 2 inhibitor
SEROTONE 5HTP -- 5HTP. Higher Nature Serotone 5 HTP 50mg, 30 Capsules. Amino acid. Support for Serenity. Mind, mood, sleep, depression.
This natural amino acid, called Serotone 5HTP, may help maintain a balanced outlook and a relaxed approach to life. It works by increasing the level of serotonin in the brain, a substance which helps modulate mood and sleep.
Serotone provides the amino acid 5 HTP, the natural precursor of serotin from a West African herb, Griffonia simplicifolia, plus the vitamins and minerals needed to convert it into serotonin.
MAO inhibitors (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) were the first antidepressant drugs invented. While they are quite effective, they can be dangerous if combined with the wrong foods, drugs, or supplements. The substance tyramine, found in some cheeses, beer, fermented soy products, and other foods, is particularly dangerous to combine with these medications. Stimulant drugs such as pseudoephedrine can also cause problems.
Antidepressants in this family include furazolidone (Furoxone), isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine sulfate (Nardil), and tranylcypromine sulfate (Parnate) among others.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ephedra
Dangerous Interaction
Because it contains the stimulant ephedrine, combining the herb ephedra with MAO inhibitors can rapidly produce a severe, dangerous interaction and must be avoided. 1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scotch BroomDangerous Interaction
The herb scotch broom contains high levels of tyramine, so it should not be taken with MAO inhibitors. 2
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Green Tea
Probable Dangerous Interaction
Because it contains caffeine, green tea should not be combined with MAO inhibitors.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ginseng
Possible Dangerous Interaction
According to one report, the combination of ginseng and the MAO inhibitor phenelzine caused worrisome symptoms. 3 While this may have been due to caffeine contamination of the ginseng, we would recommend that you avoid ginseng–MAO inhibitor combinations at this time.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
St. John's Wort
Possible Dangerous Interaction
Current thinking suggests that St. John's wort functions somewhat similarly to SSRI (selective serotonin-reuptake inhibitor) antidepressants. Since SSRIs should not be combined with MAO inhibitors, this herb probably should not be combined either.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan) , SAMe (S-Adenosylmethionine)
Possible Dangerous Interactions
Based on one case report 4 and current thinking on how they work, SAMe (S-adenosylmethionine) and 5-HTP should not be combined with MAO inhibitors.

Try 5HPT AND melantonin. Stay away from the ones BiG Pharma are pushing. Trazadone (25mg) outta do it. Also tends to give you morning wood but possible the hargover effect depending on your baseline dopamine level. Cheap and widely available too. Temazipam is another good one. 15Mg a few times a week wont build up a tolerence. Its a short acting version of valium. Over use can cause dependancy.
Best is exercise and a good attitude.
I just switched from the benzo Temazepam back to Trazodone. Benzos are better used ocassionally for PE. Too much kills the erection as effectively as frequent opiates useage. What doseage Trazadone and melatonin are you taking and what was your starting doseage?
I will actually cycle GHB. I tend not to get problems with falling asleep, and this of course aids with that. It also has the added benefit of releasing increased endogenous levels of HGH from the anterior pituitary during REM sleep.
The shit is downright dangerous in irresponsible hands, but I'll tell you its a miracle neurotransmitter if used correctly.
I try to stay away from benzos as much as possible as the rebound is a guaranteed moment of pissed off ed'ness. I started on a 50mg dose of trazadone. It felt like I was swallowed up in a hole. I mean I shut down. I go cold and started shivering and was paranoid about breathing, etc., when going down. I later read that Prozac is known to have this interaction with it. This is hard to find in writing, but it is out there, and none of the asshole docs know it. Anyway, I have worked up to 150mgs does great. I get up by 7am and feel good all day. It does take a tiny bit of climatization. I have a friend who is up to 225 to sleep. just seems to be his number. I think a layoff of about 2 months totally resets any possible tolerance very well. I have read that most do not even develop a tolerance. Food helps to deliver it quickly. A beer too.![]()
