Sleep ...

i asked at the hospital and they said its safe to use tap water but then said most people just use bottled and there was no need for distilled. i imagine over a period of time you'd get limescale buildup like with a kettle though.
Good to know

Whenever I’m on cycle and I start gaining some mass I start to snore.
I guess my wife says it’s starting to get pretty bad.

Not sure what the solution is.
I usually sleep pretty good besides being a restless sleeper.

You're lucky. I straight up hold my breath. Will wake up dripping sweat with my heart pounding.

My snoring is pretty bad but in the scheme of things it's the least serious of my issues

One of the primary complaints of SA patients is they feel tired all day with many falling asleep at work.

Was that an issue for you @Docd187123

I can't imagine how daytime sleepiness was not a compliant at 95 episodes an hour,
unless they were VERY BRIEF pauses

70/hr here. I'd get into work, log in on the computer, and immediately start falling asleep but snap right out of it. For some reason I'd always end up picking up the mouse and slamming it back down on the desk when it happened. Would continuously have those episodes throughout the day. Needed to take 600-800mg of caffeine every day to be somewhat functional.

the only app i found on the app store was for the resmed air mini, for the airsense 10 far as i can see its a case of logging into your acct on the website (based in the uk so maybe different stateside).anyway i reregistered the machine yesterday and its still active. apparently i had just 2.7 events last night :) only issue im having is bruising on the bridge of my nose where the mask is a bit tight. this was uncomfortable enough to wakee me up a few times with visible bruising today so im getting some plasters in the hope that pads it enough. they may try me with a larger mask but he seemed quite keen on sticking with the small if possible as it was a better fit overall (back in on the 31st for a follow up but if my nose keeps being an issue ill go back in before)
feeling very relaxed today but i have to be honest my energy levels arent great still (although im currently finishing up a short cycle on 350mg tren a so im sure thats a factor)

The AirSense 10 has a slot for an SD card where it records all the sleep data. You can use a program like SleepyHead to read the data but it's much more detailed and in-depth compared to the app. I tried it once a few weeks ago and it showed all my nights (something like 470).

thanks ill download that sleepyhead and check it out, for some reason ive gone back up from around 2 events per hour to around 13 lasty couple of nights, 1st night id increased the psi to 9.0 from 8.6 so i lowered it back but still 12.5 events ... leaving it as they set it now as im back in on the 31st for a follow up

Do you have an auto machine?

by auto im thinking you mean it adjusts the pressure on the fly? not sure if it has that function but at the moment its set to ramp up from 4 to 8.6. its a resmed airsense 10

its not working great to be honest i think they may have to try me with a different type of mask, worked better with the smaller mask but that caused sores im sure there will be a suitable compromise, will find out on weds

well for some reason ive started snoring when on my side even when the mask has a good seal as far as i know. my events last night went up to 17 per hr according to resmed. i think the smaller mask worked better but was too painful as in painful enough to keep waking me up making it counterproductive.. im sure theyll find a solution as the nurse said dont worry if this mask doesnt work well as they have quite a few varieties as everyones different. it could be the pressure too low or even too high.. im in on wednesday so hopefully ill get some positive progress.
I should add that when i first got the machine at the beginning of the month and was registering below 5 events per night i was on a short tren cycle (50mg tren a ed) along with 200 test pw (which im normally on year round), i decided to stop that early as it was more important to get the cpap dialed in and maybe coincidentally a few days after my events went up although i did also change my mask size same time...

Ahh gotcha. What kind of mask are you on right now? Mine would leak a lot initially and I had to tighten the straps. You can run a leak test with the machine where it puts out max pressure but even if it's good, it can still leak depending on how your head is positioned on the pillow. It was happening to me. Test was ok but when I'd have my head on the pillow, it'd put enough pressure on the mask to move it and disrupt the seal. Could hear the air leaking out.

Hardest part is just getting use to the thing. Some days no problem other times feels like cant get any air.
It seems to be better as not as sleepy and dont snore at all.
