The 03 RK aniversary models in white are sweet, they come in that pearl color - for some reason you don't see to many of them around, that would be a cool bike for you to try and find..

Juice, what line of work are you in?

For all the Harley guys here, what % of Harleys are actually built/designed in the US? I know that Porsche does most of their engine designs.

BTW, the V-Rod looks gay, especially when you see every other guy on a bike that was supposed to be "special edition."

its fast

worked real hard so i could rent this baby....But my 03 passat handles better...but not as fast...

Im really not trying to be a dick about this, and I certainly have nothing against imported cars, bikes, food, etc. What I asked was an honest question, it wasnt really meant to be a slam against HD. I didnt pick on the imports because they dont claim to be American. Harley is an American company and says they build American bikes. Should the phrase be "assemble" American bikes instead?

i don't think they are german enineered bob, excluding the v-rod they did design the motor for that but thats not a harley as far as i'm concerned..

so how do i convert my pic to a j-peg? anyone?

EH, my car doesn't compare to some on here but considering I paid for it myself and I own it at the age of 20, I'm pretty proud. Its a 99 Mercedes CLK 430. I'll have to post a pic on here later.

Complete Harley-Davidson motorcycles were manufactured in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from 1903 through 1972. From 1972 through the present Harley-Davidson engines have been built in Milwaukee, then shipped to the York, Pennsylvania, plant where the balance of motorcycle components are manufactured and where final assembly takes place.

From the primative single-cylinder motorcycle that started the line to the famous V-twins to the new fuel-injected engines that power the modern bike, Harley-Davidson has become synonymous with motorcycling and in partcular cruisers. However, in the 90+ years of Harley-Davidson motorcycle production the company has manfactured nearly every type of two-wheeled vehicle: huge cruisers and scooters, racetrack bikes and tourers, trials bikes and boardtrack racers, military couriers and civilian "customs." It is this rich heritage and wide manufacturing experience that gives the Harley-Davidson name its importance in the world of motorcycling.

More widely popular now than ever before -- the future looks bright for Harley-Davidson, despite strong competitive setbacks against Italian and particularly against Japanese motorcycles. With Harley-Davidson motorcycles fetching heavy premiums in both foreign and domestic markets, the money for research and development to improve the HD design is being directed once again towards making Harley-Davidson among the best motorcycles in the world.

That has some interesting info, but doesnt really address what I was looking for. Oh well.

I spose its like calling a Honda Accord "Japanese" when they are built, IIRC, in Tennessee.
