So am I crazy and only one noticing something fucked up is going on with some of the sources here?

Axle and Musclecandy. Both have worked together… both had openly beefed on this board… both websites go down around the same time… both stop responding around the same time… then magically the websites are functioning again around the same time (both sources). Axle pack gets “lost” in shipment with usps… website goes down around the same time… I am not going to provide dates or details as it’s all in plain view on here and on SST for Musclecandy. I’d be interested to see how this plays out in the next few weeks.

This is all just pure speculation and nothing more but for pure entertainment of my paranoia.

I wouldn’t take anybody’s word when it comes to sources, especially strangers online.

Look at how long they’ve been around. See how often they are testing batches and how close they are getting to advertised (210mg but advertised as 250? Probably not testing raws or just shitty brewing) . Make sure they incentivize blind testing. See how they handle issues.

Then make a decision based on what you find and your own risk tolerance

I can only speak on my experience but I stumbled on this thread and maybe this can provide some clarity:
There are nerds out there that stalk forums like this and DDoS sources’ websites for ransom. Basically, they knock the site offline and demand money to stop attacking it. This happens to nearly every source and it really isn’t anything new.
This is also the explanation for the lack of communication as we were switching servers and there was a bit of a mess to clean up on the backend to get things back to normal.

The only thing that I found odd is the guy only demanded $90… typically they will demand a few hundred at the very least. Shortly after these demands were ignored, he offered a “partnership” in which he would “DDoS for hire”…
I noticed Axle’s site went down a few days before ours started getting attacked; if I’m being honest, I did have slight suspicions about the whole “DDoS for hire” proposition and thought maybe we were targeted by someone but at the end of the day, it’s just speculation. It’s also not unlikely that the guy was just scrolling through the forums and started attacking us both at around the same time… and it only makes us better. I know there have been several attacks since we’ve been back up and the site has remained undisrupted.
