Starting Anavar cycle and need advice

Thanks for the reply MissK. My plan is to start at 2.5mg 2x and up it to 5mg 2x after two weeks, but may stick at 5mg total for the duration of the 8 week cycle dependent on sides. I can modify my macros to most anything. I am a disciplined eater as I mainly have issues eating enough, and I don’t care for sweets. I have noticed my best gains and weight loss have been when I completely stopped drinking alcohol (wine). I will speak to my trainer and see what he thinks or recommends for a 40/30/30 split.
If this is your first cycle you’d be surprised at the reults you can get from just 5mg daily. If you’re on cycle you should not be drinking alcohol. And like I said, always a good idea to do bloodwork before and during cycle. Good luck,

This is a very important thing I didn't mention, but yes. Cut out ALL alcohol during cycle and for a few weeks after while you recover.

I'll second this as well. I understand the temptation to go right up to a higher dose, but honestly anavar is fucking good stuff. 5 mg seems like a better cycle for you to start with. Next time if you want to go up to 7.5 or 10 mg then you can.

The last thing you want to do is take more thinking you'll get better gains, then wind up feeling crappy and having bad side effects which can easily cause you to cut a cycle short or lose the foundation of diet/lifting program.

Just an update because I am also tracking my progress through this thread. I have removed the Vega protein and my bloat is almost completely gone. I figured I would give it a shot until the MyProtein comes in, and wouldn't you know. The gas and bloating are completely gone, and I thought all this time it might have been the creatine even though I take the "non-bloating" KreAlkalyn. Just fine tuning this week before starting my cycle next Monday April 18. Thanks for that tip MFAAS!

Glad to hear it!! That is awesome and it's nice to have a baseline where you're feeling better before you try the new stuff. :)

My husband made this simple plan for me that I’ve followed for the past 6 months and it’s worked really well. I used to do a million different exercises but noticed the best gains were when I focused on a smaller group of exercises and form. I had meniscus repair surgery 12 months ago and the sumo squats, Bulgarians, and reverse lunges really flare my knee unfortunately so I had to remove them for now. I am wondering if there are any other exercises I can add to this upper/lower split? I don’t use cables. I workout at home and have access to dumbbells and barbell. Thanks!

Bench press
Chest fly
Bicep curl
Triceps extension
Shoulder press
Front raise
Lateral raise
Upright row
Bent over row

RDL
Hip thrust
Glute bridge
Hex bar deadlift
Good mornings
Frog pumps
Fire hydrants
Donkey kicks

I plan to slowly try and add the reverse lunges, sumos, and split squats.
