Sterilizing Vials

Did some glassware sterilizing yesterday. Tried the 2 sessions at 500 degrees and it seemed to work just fine. Started filtering last night : ) love how clean it looks when filtered

Tediously cleaned soooooo many vials last night. Ran them through a 90 minute bake before i went to bed, woke up and put them on for another 90 minute bake. They looked dry and clean when I woke up but in for another 90 minutes they go.

They are completely capped so they should be sterile for a while if I don't use a few. I'll be bottling this weekend. Pics to follow in the brew porn thread. : )

Maybe, maybe not

But sterilization is only good in an enclosed environment
Are ovens perfectly sealed to outside bacteria? They are not

Unless you're a cheapo-ass source looking to save every last dime,
Why risk your health when you can buy 10 vials for $15 or $20 on Ebay/Amazon, some sterilized at large, industrial autoclaves
the same ones big-pharma used for almost a century with zero issues?

What's next? Making your own BB from BA to save a couple dollars?
(and inject impurities yourself in the process)
Synthesis of benzyl benzoate
What name brands do I look for as far as sterile vials?

it is possible to wash the vials in distilled water and sterilize them in the following devices: MELAG 75 hot air sterilizer ?
stopper wash in isopropyl alcohol and leave to dry?
Do you put the filled vial of the product still 60 degrees into the oven for 10 minutes?
