Steroids trafficking more prevalent than heroin - WADA exec

[SIZE=-1]MORE money is made through trafficking in performance-enhancing steroids than through trafficking in the illegal substance, heroin.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=-1]That is according to director general of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), David Howman, who was speaking at yesterday's opening of the Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission (JADCO) two-day Anti-doping Symposium at Knutsford Court Hotel in Kingston.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=-1]The trained barrister told the Observer there are no official statistics, but based his comments on anecdotal evidence gathered by WADA.[/SIZE]

This is just laughable. So they admit that there is no evidence to substantiate their claims but they are comfortable making such claims due to so-called anecdotal evidence by the WADA.

Well of course the WADA will make such a claim. They are in the business of developing polices and rules against "performance enhancing drugs" and demonizing it is a very effective propaganda tool in their fight.

So associating a criminal element too it such as equalizing the transfer of PED information among those of knowledge and those seeking as well as the obtaining of PED's to illicit mind altering drug trafficking is very effective propaganda strategy.

My thoughts exactly. How ridiculous is it to make a strong assertion and then, in the next breath, say that there is no evidence supporting that statement. IOW, I pulled it out my ass.
