STOCK UP: Don't say you weren't warned! (US)

yes, just like those old moms in supermarkets hoarding toilet paper when corona came out

Seems like the like only way that would be a mistake is if things were going to get even cheaper in the future than the price they paid.

Or if it was the "hoarding" that caused the shortages we have now,

Dr Tom O'Connor aka The Anabolic Doc is another youtuber. He may actually practice medicine IRL but he also makes stuff up your content, just like the others.

Books, high priced consulting services, the whole nine yards. Has to make spicy content to get subscribers/consumers.

I also think he lurks here.

May want to edit that first paragraph, I think there's a typo in the last sentence ("your").

I sure ain't. Lmao. Nice if someone is. Those videos look exhausting to make.
Would it be a good idea to ask mod to let you make a signature with your BTC address for those who want to donate in appreciation of your research? You and ghoul and anyone else by mods decision

I'm good Brother. Thank you. As much as that charity thing blew up last time it still raised great money, so if people want to give please do so to the worthy charity of their choice. Godspeed.

I'm sure ghoul could raise a fortune for great causes if we do a donate to charity thread in honor of ghoul's research and harm reduction efforts.

thoughts Ghoul?

I think I'm having a little fun with a guy really late joining the well worn "Fear mongering", "Toilet paper", "it'll all be back to normal soon" cliche crowd who started going quiet after the raws shortages started to bite, and finally had the sense to completely STFU after QSC went into hiding "for a few days" a month ago. :)

Thanks for that good find, I hadn't seen it.

You've figured out my secret connection to "LE" I've been accused of having. Reading the news...

Tom was around long before that. And no. He follows trends on here, for example like when DHB and ment were "hot," and made videos about them a few days/weeks later.
I clearly remember listening to Doc's podcasts around July 2018 prior to his YT stuff. I think I started posting Sept 2018 at TNation. He has a good heart it seems and lots of clinical experience.

I tried reaching out to the Anabolic Doc a few times on different platforms. With genuine questions, but never to sign up for his services. Zero response.

Tom might be an actual practicing physician, but online he's just a content creator. He does what he does to gain subscribers, ad revenue, clients, etc. Not out of the goodness of his heart. (just like the rest of them)

Sometimes that means fear mongering. After his hGH/cancer video, I bet he got a lot of new hGH-abusing bodybuilding clients.

That's absurd. cancer patients seek out oncologists regardless of the cause of their cancer.

Which "fear mongering" video are you referring to? I've never seen one in which he says GH causes cancer.

I think I saw the video in question. I remember having a similar feeling that, while yes it's good to overly cautious, especially as a doc putting info out to a largely uninformed audience, it still felt a little too fear-mongery for my tastes. This is from memory, but it felt pretty lacking on data and critical thinking, and largely focused on risk-reduction and emphasizing the "what if" element of GH and cancer.

That's not what I said (more goal post shifting), but referring to your comment here.

There are ways of shifting how people think about things without explicitly saying them. You do it all the time.

In medicine it's perfectly acceptable to acknowledge a risk exists and steps can be taken to minimize it even when those risks can't be precisely, or even roughly, quantified.

Only in forums do people insist without a study where some healthy people have been injected with X until they develop a particular disease the risk isn't proven and therefore it's meaningless. to use caution.

That said, I'd still like to see an example of what constitutes GH fearmongering in his part.

The "what if" element is strong for some.

"Anything that could possibly go wrong, even if one in a billion, is enough to make a fuss about it."

Take all the precautions you'd like, I'm not against that, but I'm not a bubble boy. Chill with the fear mongering. That's not how to educate the next generation.

His comment was that patients who've used hgh and subsequently develop cancer suspect their hgh use contributed to it.

That's perfectly normal, if you were diagnosed with cancer, you wouldn't wonder if your growth hormone use contributed to it? Would you keep using it?
Why not? Because we know it can accelerate growth.

What effect did it have on the growth rate prior to its discovery?

To suggest that observation equates to fear mongering and a tactic to gain patients, without even being able to point out a credible example is more of your disingenuous arguments and resorting to the cliched ideas of a simpletons.

Your have zero control over what I post, so get used to feeling powerless.

You really revealed yourself with this bullshit:

I'll go ahead and post the rebuttal: "Just because you didn't lose an ass cheek doesn't mean everything is fine! You can't instantly feel microplastics lodged in your lungs or aggregate proteins in your brain."
*meh*

Like there is no in-between. "Everyone must have my risk tolerance or they're low IQ retards."
Gimme a break.

I never made, or suggested that last statement.

You or anyone else can take it or leave it. Why would I care? Your health means nothing to me. I'm here to have a conversation, make my case, not to command.

"You're a low IQ retard" is what YOU hear. You don't take a suggested precaution, therefore the person advocating it is somehow insulting you.

Again asshole, since you want to go down the road of ad hominem insults, gets used to the taste of shit, because unless you block me, I'm going to remind you daily of just how powerless you are to do anything to get me to comply with your demands.
