Stop or continue hgh before/after hernia surgery?

I was on 8iu hgh for like 5 months, then had swelling issues and dropped to 2-3iu which I am on since about a month

I got something which is suspected to be a hernia on the right side of my belly, bit above my belly button. I will probably have hernia surgery in one or two months, should I just continue with 2-4iu hgh? Or stop a few weeks before/after hernia surgery?

Also i wanted to build my way up to 8iu again, should I do this now or wait until after the surgery?

I found this on the internet „The answer is to wait approximately two weeks after surgery before starting the GH. This will maximize healing while minimizing scar tissue buildup which would manifest if you start GH too soon in the healing process“

Is there any truth to this?

For any surgery recovery I’d be on GH, BPC157, TB500, and GHK-CU.
Get the "wolverine stack" ready, higher doses will be a benefit for sure, i am stockpiling my bpc157/tb4 and figured i would throw in the GHK in the stack,, good luck on your surgery,,
I used it after hernia surgery GH, BPC 157, TB 500, Ghk-cu and everything healed well and quickly.
I was taking GH the entire time before the surgery.
Good luck
Thanks guys

I will try to get my hands on some bpc157 and tb500, if I cant, I will just use gh

So the comment I found saying to wait two weeks after surgery before starting gh is bullshit I assume?

Right now my plan is to build my way up to 4iu until surgery and continue with that

i have found similar research saying to taper down then for x amount of days after the surgery then titrate back up this is what chat gpt told me , ive done other research that also indicates similar protocol, , IMG_2325.webp

this was with 5 ius as a starting dose, so i imagine you would have to adjust accordingly for what your starting dose is, , i think im just gonna hold my hgh dose steady the whole time as to maximize recovery, not sure there would be any benefit of letting your overall hgh levels in your body lower, if anything i should probably increase hgh dose? but why f with the no sides i am currently experiencing at 5ius and risk possible problems,,

There's very little guidance and very few examples.

There are warnings on rHGH labels to stop using rHGH before life threatening surgery (open heart, heavy trauma) because there's a higher death rate for rHGH users undergoing these procedure. That said rHGH patients are a sickly group anyway so may have no connection.

The quotes below refer to brain surgery.

They stopped rHGH the just day before. It was resumed a week after the operation once they were stable.

Considering your surgery is far less serious, I would take comfort in the fact it was considered fine up to the day before.

Restarting once you know there aren't any serious post-op complications seems sensible too.

So what I get from this, is that there aren't any serious rHGH related risks.

I'd stop the day before, and restart after getting home and was out of the immediate post op danger zone. ,

(full disclosure, this may not apply to supra-physiological doses, but if it's not crazy high, I'd expect the same advice would be reasonably safe)

--------

“In our cohort of 101 adult GH-deficient patients undergoing transsphenoidal or craniopharyngioma resection, recombinant human GH was withheld in the peri-operative period—typically stopped the evening before surgery—and was only resumed once the patient was hemodynamically stable and tolerating oral intake (usually 5–7 days post-op).”

“GH replacement was discontinued on the day before surgery and was restarted after the patient had recovered from the acute postoperative phase, with a mean interruption of about one week.”

I think exacerbating swelling or increasing the chance of a seroma is the main risk.

I had umbilical hernia surgery today. My recovery stack: TB-500 1mg per day, BPC-157 500mcg 3x day, GHK-CU 2.5mg 3x day, GH 12IU per day.

I'd be more worried about supplements that can affect blood clotting/bleeding. I had to deal with hematomas after my gyno surgery (not fun). Still dealing with low iron a year later after losing so much blood. Fortunately bleeding risk is much lower with hernias.
