my mother in law text messaged something on her phone one day to the effect of "Go fuck yourself at the traffic light and continue on the street" it was supposed to be directions she was texting someone.

Wow, the speak to text app is just as bad especially if the speaker has an accent or a cold. I've stuffed up many a text myself especially when I had a cold

Best thing is I proofread every text before I hit send...that would avoid such embarrassments.
