Strongest BB Of All Time

well ronnie lifts in texas not LA and Animal is right, ronnie isn't an eight time mr. olympian from lifting light plastic weights. he's got over 25 years of hard training so i don't think its that far fetched to believe a 300 pound dude can lift enormous weights. especially since he juices
Well I say Ronnie train in LA and he did not use any weights even close to his vids. :)

Bodybuilding is not about powerlifting

Maybe you saw him lifting on a light day. Maybe he was eating very low carbs that day or something. My point is that just because you saw him lifting weights one time and he wasn't using everyweight in the gym doesn't mean that he's not stronger than every other bodybuilder to have ever lived. He is the thickest bodybuilder of all time, and he's at least in the top three strongest of all time.

Absolutely, two different concepts. I thought this thread was about "who is the the strongest BB." Ronnie is clearly among one of the strongest of all time.

true, but ronnie also said that he doesn't usually go below 6 to 8 reps. when he makes his videos he gets down to reps of 2. obviously there is not reason for him to lift like that all the time because he is a bodybuilder and not a powerlifter but if he wants to he can throw up a lot of metal.

and dorian is definately another candidate. franco is probably the strongest on deadlift. watching him pick up that car on pumping iron and seeing a picture of him DLing a thousand plus was impressive

As far as real competition lifts Eddie Robinson owns them all!...by the way these are RAW benches people.

Well, being that Svend Karlson has his pro-BB card and has won WSM 2X, I would think that maybe he is the strongest ever. You know, sounds pretty reasonable anyway. ;)

BTW- Eddie Robinson was always one of my favorites. He and Tom Prince.

Im going to say Johnnie Jackson is probably the strongest pound for pound. He has some impressive lifts under his belt.

Here are some of Johnnie Jackson's lifts...

Squat - 825 lbs
Bench Press - 545 lbs
Deadlift - 804 lbs
They are nothing compaired to Eddie Robinson who did more at only 220 and 19 yeasrs old :)

From the new ones, I think it's Johnie Jackson and Markus Ruhl. From the golden era, Franco Columbo and Arnold. Svend is in the list of course. :)

Do you know Ruhl's max dead/bench/squat? I'm curious.

I think Ronnie has to be one of the strongest BB of all times as well. You only talk about his videos but what about all the interviews from all the BB magazines. I yet have to see any other body builder featured on a BB magazine claiming that is lifting more than Ronnie. 99% if not all of them that talk about what they're lifting in the gym are usually saying "I do X pounds squad and X pounds deadlifts bla bla bla.... I leave the 900 pound squats and up for Ronnie the freak." or something along these lines.
What's more is that Ronnie hasn't been 8 times mr. O by luck. Even so, he's always been jugded about the fact that he keeps training with heavier and heavier weights especially at the age he is now.
I think Ronnie is really a living legend, a true BB at heart and for me the biggest and strongest BB of all times.

I was wrong, the lifts Eddie did were not in legit compatition and were not raw....they even might be pure BS.

Never tell me I do not admit when I am totaly wrong
