Supplements that help prevent getting sick?

As we all know winter is approaching. With my health issues I really need to try and stay flu and cold free this winter. Besides zinc and vitamin C what do you all recommend. Thanks guys.
 
Thanks bro. Is 2 Greek yogurt a day enough?? Or should I actually buy probiotics?
If you've been on antibiotics this year then a good probiotic would be beneficial. Otherwise foods containing probiotics would be fine. Greek yogurt would be a good choice

Yes I've been on antibiotics this year. Can I get probiotics at GNC or Vitamin Shoppe?
 
When I feel something coming on, or when its too late, Airborne makes a HUGE difference. I like the Alka-Seltzer like tabs that dissolves vs the chewables. It would be pricey for a daily supp, but its a must for when I'm in a house full of sickness! More of a vitamin A, C & E kick...not D. Has magnesium and zinc
 
In addition to some of the above if you start to get sick: echinacea, goldenseal, elderberry, and oil of oregano. I personally like now foods immune renew which has astragalus and a mushroom blend.
 
Emergen-C. Get some, get it now! When I feel a bug coming on, I start that stuff morning and night.

I have four kids who all bring home insidious germs from the pits of hell (school) and that stuff usually keeps me with just a runny nose while everyone else in my houses is bitching and moaning endlessly about the time is near, call the morgue, etc.

Echinacea tea is great for colds and when you have a fever. I've always felt it helps me sweat out the fever and get over colds quicker. 2-3 cups a day when sick
