SWALE at the A4M

SWALE

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
I had the pleasure of delivering two lectures last weekend at the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine International Congress in Chicago. I was working in Nick Delgado PhD's Sexual Healing track. First I did my "TRT: A Recipe for Success" talk, then in the afternoon it was "A Primer on Estrogen Metabolism in the Adult Male". The docs in attendance seemed to appreciate both.

Then Sunday morning Dr. Robert Goldman asked me if I would like to Moderate the entire conference for that day. Now THAT was fun! It was, admittedly, challenging to come up with something clever to say every half hour, all day long, before 1,300 physicians in the audience.

Some of us got to watch the Chicago Air Show from the Presidential Suite at the Hyatt Regency, home of the show. It was awesome watching the Blue Angels rip by at 550mph+ BELOW us!

A wonderful time was had by all. What a great bunch.

Dr. Goldman asked me to lecture again at the A4M Convention in Las Vegas in December, for anyone who may be in the area.

I'll post a few pics from the conference when I get a chance. Well, the ones I can show you!

Swale,
You're obviously highly respected by your peers. Congratulations on your achievements.

2 questions:
1. Can anyone attend these conventions or must one be a Dr.?
2. If a lay person could attend, would there be discussions relevant to a bodybuilder? I realize there can be different levels of relevancy however, what is your best guess as to a reasonable level of relevancy?

Thanks and best to you,
MaxRep

Relavancey is one thing, I wonder about understandability for the layman. Not really up on latin.

I think anyone who can afford to can attend. I have talked with lay people who were just really interested in Anti-Aging Medicine at these conferences.

The Pre-Conference Tracks are where the roll-up-your-sleaves stuff goes on, the practical training. The actual two day conference is comprised of lectures by the world's top experts in various fields related to this science. I should think that anyone who has done any reading on this stuff, or been active on the Boards, could follow right along.

Swale,
Thanks. Sounds interesting and worth checking into. You mention affordability as though that might be an issue. Are tickets reasonably priced as in $100-$200 or are you talking thousands?

Thanks again,
MaxRep

I don't have to pay for it, so I'm not sure since I am a lecturer. But you can check it out at:

Thanks, I'll bookmark that site.

It's not too bad. It's Dec 3, 4, 5, in Las Vegas. Any one day can be attended by anyone for $275. They have a special for non-members where all 3 days can be attended for $595. The exhibit hall has a $25 entry fee.

A person could go have a fun weekend in Vegas, and allocate 1 day to the conference for about the same amount they would have lost to the casino.
