I would imagine as long as you've had normal numbers then there most likely was something that temporarily affected your score. Some things that lower eGFR scores are dehydration, increased intake of Body building supplements including Creatine, starvation or long periods of fasting, eating cooked meat prior to testing and NSAIDs.....but like I said its promising that your prior tests were okay.
People on Meso who are recommending to buy pres sealed, pre sterilized vials.....no. Just flat out no. I do not recommend anyone do that.
I have been purchasing from medlab supply for about 15 years. They are a great outfit, great company to deal with. They sell pre-sealed and sterilized vials. I would also not recommend anyone purchase these on amazon either for the same reasons as mentioned above. Everyone keeps saying just buy these on amazon. My response is no, do not buy these on amazon or anywhere else.
You have no idea who sterilized those vials. You also have no idea if those vials were ever even sterilized in the first place. The company selling them could have simply took empty, slightly dirty vials, never sterilized them, put the tops and butyl rubber stopper on, crimped them, then sealed them and sold them claiming they are quote unquote "sterile" when in fact they are dirty, contaminated vials that were never sterilized.
This whole fiasco with Symb is just terrible. I am pissed as hell at what he has done to his customers.
I would much rather buy underdosed, sterile gear than properly dosed, dirty gear. If I buy underdosed, sterile gear, worst thing that can happen to me is I don't make the gains I was hoping for. But properly dosed, dirty gear .......I could lose an arm, lose a leg, lose an ass cheek, or even worse I could die from an infection.
I am really really angry with Symb. It is hard for me to understand why, when he returns, you guys are willing to give him a second chance. He does not deserve a second chance. He needs to be told he is not welcome back here on Meso.
Allowing Symb to return is the antithesis of ""Harm Reduction"".

Hmmmm interesting points. I definitely wouldn’t have trusted and bought from amazon. I was thinking a medical supply place. There has to be a trusted company out there.

We let UGLs sterilize vials and look where it gets you with Sym. You’re gonna have amateurs sterilize and cap their own vials? Nah I don’t think so.
Edit: If guys have a couple vials of Sym’s stuff and don’t trust it. That’s one thing, they can toss it and cough up $100 loss. But some guys have stocked up on Sym’s stuff, they don’t trust it, but also don’t want to be out a shit-ton of money. So syringe-filtering into pre-sterile vials is a very good option for them.

I have a question, id be willing to bet there is guys out there that have pinned his gear with floaters in it, because until someone said something no one realized. My question is why hasn’t anyone gotten an infection or worse? Well atleast I haven’t heard anything like that.. From what I’ve been reading it sounds like it’s incredibly easy to get infection, just curious why it’s not having that effect. Don’t get wrong I’m glad it hasn’t but I’m trying to understand and learn more about this.

Disclaimer: My first post on here.
My job is in the surgical field, and my role deals entirely around aseptic techniche and creating and maintaining sterile fields. In my profession, it is quite common to leave implants, metal clips, surgical mesh, non-absorbable suture, etc on bone, blood vessels, tendons, ligaments, etc... you get the idea. These products are usually synthetic (nylon, mesh) but can also be natural (cotton, silk etc)All these products are sterile. You body may react to them by creating scar tissue or something of the like, but infection is very rare.
Now, I give that speech to illustrate that even if there are floaters, that does not immediately mean something isn't sterile. According to Sym in an earlier post he said something like "even if there is something in there, it's sterile." Given that everything is sterile, and given all things I said hold true, the risk of infection should not be significantly greater. Now I don't know if the floaters are synthetic or natural, but as I said earlier, we use both in my profession. And sterile means sterile. And this is assuming the floater is injected as well, how you body would likely react to a sterile fiber. If it isn't injected, I would think you'd haveess to worry about. ASSUMING EVERYYHING IS STERILE.
If things weren't sterile tho, I suspect you'd have a much higher reported number of infections on her from Sym.
This is just meant to answer the question above, why aren't more people reporting infections. This is meant as a possible explanation.
