Best bet would be to get your initial meet and greet, then get outsourced to a different clinic, a civvy clinic.
I think they changed the specs, used to be you had to be further than 40 miles to be outsourced, but I think they did away with that to free up some people.

Ive heard its about the same. Theres a girl I met here who does the outpatient appts for VA and she said people will move just out of the area so they can choose their own docs. Which could be a plan too.

Did a lot of sets of 3 reps squatting 405 today, plus a set of 3 for 425. All of them were pretty easy. My butt was almost touching me heels but my knees were going past my toes.

2 cups heavy cream, a pound of white American, and 1/2-3/4 pound of pepper jack, little bit of distilled vinegar, and quite a bit of cumin. Just melt it all together medium heat and pour over everything.
Tastes pretty close to the Moe's queso.

Yes I have 6 bottles of hot sauce on stock at all times. One green, one regular, 2 extra hot, 1 fire, 1 diablo.

Can't say any of them are too hot, going in anyways... they just taste amazing.

Did back today. Exercises are limited, have to use,horizontal grips.
Did 10x10 hammer row, hammer pulldown, wide grip cable row. 20-30 seconds rest between sets.
Stationary bike sprints at the end.
Couldn't go over 45 with the hand, but I can move my ring finger more.
Recover seems awesome, almost 7 days post OP. Definitely think I'll be hands free 1 Sept and going hard again mid Sept.

Late start to the day.... Woke up at 7:45. (Usually up around 6:30) but I laid in bed until 11:30 with my family. So, sort of a intermittent fast?
Just ate around 12:30.
3 burgers, 3 slices pepper jack cheese, 3 onion slices.
78g fat, 65g protein. Diablo sauce.

They are still in there. Gonna be there until September 1st it's sounding like. Got a full cast put on today. No idea why they waited 2 weeks post OP to do that. Oh well.

At least now when I do cable flies it will be pain free. I feel invincible in this cast.

The injury isn't bad. Just sucks I can't deadlift or clean. I had big ambitions for those two this year. Will just have to push the goal date back a bit
