testing HCG

The threshold of detection of the kits ranges from 25 mIU/mL to 100 mIU/mL.

So let's go with the highest value, and then double it for confidence. And let's consider using 100 mL of water for dilution (a little over 3 ounces) instead of the 8 ounces that I wrote before.

In that case, we need 20 IU of HCG added to the 100 mL of water.

Hardly any.

If using an 8 ounce glass of water, then say 250 IU for a round figure.

I have not gone and tried this: I don't have any HCG at the moment.

I have not tried this method, I will give it a go with my current HCG(chinese) I have on hand and with an american pharmacy brand that I know is legit. I will see what I come with and post results from both tests.

Thanks for the input everyone. Great stuff!

Your results will be much appreciated!

There is no substitute for actually verifying that a procedure works. This dilution certainly needs to be tested, but I'm unable to do it right now. And you are in an ideal position as you have material you are certain is good. Thank you!

Okay guys! I still haven't had a chance to test the HCG. I have been traveling and I will be leaving again on Wednesday. Just wanted to let everyone know I still plan on doing this. Hopefully by next week.

Okay guys I'm soooo sorry about the delay! Here it is... My procedure on testing HCG.

2 ml bacteriostatic water
250 iu's US local pharmacy from TRT doc.
CVS pregnancy test (3 per box)
cereal bowl

I first drew out 2 ml bacteriostatic water and placed into cereal bowl then I took 250 iu's HCG from vial and mixed into the bowl, then titled it to the side. I then placed the pregnancy test strip in water and let absorb. It moved quickly up the stick and first circle turned to a minus symbol almost immediately and then 30 seconds the other circle or box turned minus as well. Meaning a positive test.

Conclusion is that 250iu's is enough to see if you have legit HCG or not.

Let me know if you have any questions.
