Testosterone Changed My Life: Low T

Hello all!. I like many others experienced a drop on energy, inrease in lethargy and overall degradation of health. After speaking to medical professionals and initial blood screening, I was informed of low testosterone. I was referred to a urologist and placed on TRT pellets and my life was changed. The problem was the inconsistencies of treatment causing major decreases in test totals. For that reason, i become smart in areas that i hadnt before. I'm new to the forum and seeking to improve my knowledge base and overall health. Thank you.

Usually they try giving you antidepressants as a mistake.

I'm 35 but have had t in the 200-400 range since 20 and I'm ready to try hrt because nothing I do makes me feel better.

I've not read many reports of pellets working very well. They can lead to scar tissue where they're placed. Part of why pallets are prescribed as they make more money off of. Although there are downsides and annoyance to injections, injections are the best way to go. It's much easier to dial in your dosage with injections and your levels stay more consistent if you inject at least two times a week.

Everything you need to know can be found here. Familiarize yourself with how the search function works and you will be able to find everything you need to dial in your trt.

If you are going to do injections through a urologist I would suggest making sure they will prescribe you at least twice a week if not three a week or every other day (assuming test cypionate). Some guys will want to do one injection every other week which is completely unacceptable. There are some guys who will do TC 1x per week, but for most guys that gives too much fluctuation.

Generally speaking most guys will need 75 - 120mg test C per week. Some need up to 200 though. There are urologists who are savvy with trt but some of them will want to do very outdated dosage and frequencies schedules. If your urologist will not play ball with you, consider a telehealth clinic.

Thank you. Do home made transdermals work? In dmso if applied everyday? Or oil/ethanol. What about subcutaneous injections? Anything but the big long needle? Does scar tissue accumulate after a long time?

Wonderful introduction. Welcome to the board. Hope we get the chance to discuss things in the future.

Best wishes.

Transdermal might work but injection is far superior for many reasons. If you have a girlfriend/wife that you share a bed with or kids, I would not do transdermal unless you fancy a woman with a mustache and kids with disrupted endocrine systems. I would not recommend DMSO. Sub-Q may work but seems to only work for some people. Personally, I have a horrendous reaction to Sub-Q oil. Scar tissue, I have no idea.

Hit up the search bar dude. All of those topics have really good threads. You need to either put the time in to thoroughly educate yourself on these topics or pay a high-level professional to manage it for you.

Thanks. I've been reading non stop for days. A lot of stuff seems to be subjective or varies from person to person. I have to admit most people say to inject.. but then there's that person who swears transdermal is the best thing ever or subq. Also I can't post in any other place but here and I can't send dm. But why don't you recommend dmso?

Don’t do it subcutaneously. Period.
