What's up everyone. I've been browsing these forums for a week and decided to join up.

In my early 30s competitive powerlifter. I've been training for years and finally came over to the dark side about 2 years ago. I thought I knew everything about gear and upon reading here the last week I realize i don't know shit.

I've learned one thing so far and that is that @OdieM you are a dick lololol

5'10 265lbs 18%BF currently
I compete in the 242 class, raw modern (with wraps). Next meet in May. I'll also add that I'm in recovery from heroin. I'll have 3 years in March. No pot, no alcohol, nothing. 10 years of struggling to get clean. Jails, rehabs, halfway houses, 3/4 houses. Grateful to just be alive. Powerlifting is my outlet.

Total : 1560
Squat: 550
Bench: 410
Dead: 600

Current cycle: Cyp 300mg weekly, Var 100mg daily. Beginning my cut to 242.

You'll fit right in. Took me years of trying along with 3-3/4 houses and going to rehab 3 times before I was able to muster up the soberity I have today which is 53 months. We are mostly a community made up of recovery.

Welcome, brother, from a fellow 242 powerlifter. I'm coming up on four years off the heroin here in a few months. Took me about the same amount of time, a couple overdoses, lots of jail visits, two in rehab, one in prison before I finally got it together. Great total you got, too. 27 months 25 days clean here. I may still use "the marijuana" once in a while....for my glaucoma. :rolleyes:

Glaucoma lololol I love smoking pot if I still could I would. I had 2 years clean at one point and bought a bag of weed and that ended up taking me back out so I don't want to take any chances. Even if you don't do powerlifting competitively, running a basic linear progression program for the three main lifts for a few months can definitely increase your thickness and strength.

I'd be more than happy to help you out if you wanted.

Weed is cool.... but a bundle of dope and an 8 of white to cook make it better... so I don't smoke weed either.

Same. I don't like weed, but when I got out of rehab in 2010 I took a few klonopin and next I knew I was in the city shooting H and coke. A few weeks after that I was shooting meth and a few weeks after that I was in jail. Then when I got out I did the exact same thing again. Now I just go to work, lift, have dinner with the family and go to bed before eleven and I'm good with that.
