The Chin method...

Has anyone else used syringe filters. Heating the oil but first but then your hand just starts to freakin hurt. The chin method. Works like a charm. I grab the syringe and use my thumb, half way down I then use my chin pushing my thumb down. It worked strangely amazing. 60 mL in 5 minutes. Lol.

those little flares on the syringe bend way to much after a while. Hence the chin method...

Its a joke....just saying that syringe filtering kills the hands. So i had to use my chin, to get the last mL out of the syringe. My hands were literally killing me. I couldnt press down.

Yes this would be ideal. I only did 60 mL. But will look into next time.

This! Soooooo much easier! I use a 60ml syringe and can fill it up to about ~50ml and still fit it in the calk gun

Yes I use caulk gun with a 60ML syringe and just don’t fill it all the way, I can only get about 30ML product then about 15-20ml Air but I filter my shit .45micron and then .22micron, but I am wondering I use a table top burner and it gets hot AF like on setting 3 it heats up to 260F, but I have been putting BA and BB in there and then heating up but then it smokes and smells like shit and I researched BA vape can be very harmful but I don’t know the temp it would cause that, I wonder if I can’t just heat up my compound in GSO then once I meet product melt temp then put BA and BB in?

I've always start with oil, powder, BB then after everything goes into the oil I add the BA then filter. Super easy and I usually just heat it enough for everything to go into the oil and turn off the heat.

Heating until warm to touch, usually does the job.

i did BB then powder the BA with a splash of oil. Then heat a little. Then add the rest of oil to desired amount which was 60mL.

Thats too much heat. Smoke is no good.

How much smoke? A little vapor, i would say so. Pouring smoke, idk. Not sure what you did to it. If its the same color and didnt change. Maybe.

It wasn’t barreling out, it never reached more then 240F I thought I read somewhere it’s better to get to melting temp of product and it was prop it has a higher melting point, if I just need to warm it up that will make it a lot easier, same color looked really good and clear, decent amount of vapor enough to make the house stink but it looks fine and filtered twice .45 and .22

It wasn’t barreling out, it never reached more then 240F I thought I read somewhere it’s better to get to melting temp of product and it was prop it has a higher melting point, if I just need to warm it up that will make it a lot easier, same color looked really good and clear, decent amount of vapor enough to make the house stink but it looks fine and filtered twice .45 and .22

Wow, yes i would say that was way to hot. The first 3 brews i never even ysed heat. The only reason i warm it, is to filter faster, not to get into solution.

The smaller syringe the faster the filtering. A 3-5cc syringe is almost too fast...

I just buy a shit load of filters and change them when they start getting hard.

$4 is worth the price of not hating my life filtering.
